Video: AllSides’ April Fools Whiplash – More Than A Joke
Hello everyone,
Every year AllSides publishes a prank on April Fools Day. Topics are suggested and voted on by the team – but it’s really the highlight of the year for our Bridging Coordinator and Media Analyst Clare. This year we published an announcement, “AllSides Sells to Bipartisan Billionaires.”
Behind all of the fun, there is a serious point behind this year’s prank. People need balanced, credible, independent information, that is free of corrupting influence, and that’s what AllSides is all about. Remaining independent is a critical part of our mission to nurture a health information ecosystem – and that’s why we started this Wefunder campaign.
I recorded this short video about it, the fun and the underlying point behind it. (Forgive the mess, I’m moving my home office into my son’s old playroom, and not done yet!)
