ThinkProgress
ThinkProgress bias rating is Left. ThinkProgress is an American political blog and a project of the Center for American Progress, a progressive public policy research and advocacy organization. Despite accusations that content is influenced by the Center for American Progress and other liberal advocacy groups, the current editor of ThinkProgress insisted it is editorially independent. A vast majority of the nearly 1,000 AllSides users who voted agreed with this rating. This majority varies from the initial nearly even number of almost 300 community members who agreed and disagreed with the AllSides Bias Rating™ of Left.
More on ThinkProgress
ThinkProgress operates a number of sections, including climate, economy, health, justice, LGBT, security and culture. Founded in 2005 by current editor Judd Legum, ThinkProgress formerly included a recap and analysis of major political news and a blog titled Wonk Room. Since then, the website was reconfigured into a new format with its current separate blog sections, consolidating other Center for American Progress blogs in the process. Faiz Shakir served as editor from 2007 until 2012 until he left to become Nancy Pelosi’s Director of New Media, prompting Legum to return. One of the blog’s notable sections is Climate Progress, founded by climate scientist Joseph J. Romm, which discusses climate and energy, political news related to climate change, and the media’s coverage of climate change.

Microsoft has suspended its political action committee giving to reassess its donation criteria after a pro-LGBTQ grassroots group launched a campaign to urge it and other companies to stop bankrolling anti-LGBTQ extremists. These companies would otherwise have a laudable pro-equality track record of conduct and spending.
The group, Zero for Zeros, just released its third and final list of companies it hopes to pressure to follow Microsoft’s lead.
