
Dollar General, which has locations in nearly every major Northwest Indiana city and town, reached a settlement with the U.S. Department of Labor this week that will require the company to make safety investments in its stores across the country. Occupational Safety and Health Administration inspections found a number of safety issues, including blocked emergency exits, blocked electrical panels, blocked fire extinguishers and unsafe storage in Dollar General discount stores.
