President Trump urged General Motors CEO Mary Barra Sunday to sell the automaker’s shuttered plant in Lordstown, Ohio, after the closing laid off thousands of auto workers.
“I asked her to sell it or do something quickly,” the president tweeted. “She blamed the UAW Union — I don’t care, I just want it open!”
Mr. Trump added, “I am not happy that it is closed when everything else in our Country is BOOMING.”
The plant is among five that GM wants to close by the end of the year.
