AllSides provides online services and classroom guides for fostering 21st Century Skills in critical thinking, collaboration, communication and research. This flexible toolbox can be used as a standalone program or to supplement curricula in Language Arts, Social Sciences, Speaking and Listening, Argumentative Writing, Government and Civics.

The AllSides approach delivers uniquely strong support for appreciating diversity in opinion and people, for communicating with civility and respect, and recognizing bias in media and online. As a result, students will be better prepared for engaging in our democracy, collaborating with a diversity of people, and making good decisions not overly influenced by marketing or peers.

These skills are more important today than ever. The constant, overwhelming news and noise online make it difficult and increasingly rare to find and appreciate varied perspectives. The online culture and current societal trends encourage us to divide into separate tribes that distrust and disdain ideas and people that are different.

AllSides combats these negative trends and prepares the next generation to manage and prosper within this new world. AllSides’ programs directly address a large number of Common Core Standards from 6th to 12th grade as detailed in the AllSides Lesson Plans overview.
