The Main Wire is a news website covering politics and issues in the state of Maine. It has a Right bias.
An independent review of The Maine Wire conducted by AllSides Managing Editor Henry A. Brechter (Center bias) in October 2022 noted that the site focuses almost exclusively on issues that are interesting or important to the political right. Some examples include prominent stories about the need for oil drilling in Maine and criticisms of the clean energy movement; Maine Democrats purportedly being soft on crime; critiques of vaccine mandates in schools; and criticsm of Democrats' performance in election debates.
