We're on the ninth iteration of the AllSides Media Bias Chart™. Much has changed since our very first edition (for the curious, you can check out old versions here.)
We've made the following changes on Version 9 of the chart:
- Moved Independent Journal Review (IJR) from Lean Right to Right following a Blind Bias Survey and Editorial Review.
- Strengthened our ratings for Associated Press (Lean Left), TIME (Lean Left), Reuters (Center), and TheBlaze (Right) after the latest Blind Bias Survey confirmed all of their ratings.
- Removed BuzzFeed News (Left bias), which has shuttered. RIP.
Back in Version 8, recall that the big change was moving CNN from Left to Lean Left.

Many media outlets are biased, meaning your favorite news source could also be a source of partisan manipulation. Getting news from the left, center and right helps us to find the truth.
The AllSides Media Bias Chart™ is now clickable, so clicking on any media outlet brings you to a page explaining how we arrived at the bias rating.
