
The manager of a Houston feed and gardening store says hen sales have increased recently. The city allows residents to keep fowl and other livestock, although there are restrictions. Live chickens have been flying off the shelves at Wabash Feed & Garden in north Houston. "I got 100 hens last Wednesday and we were completely out by Sunday morning," store manager John Berry said Thursday. "I got 150 more on Tuesday night and we sold probably 70-80 of them already. There are more chickens in Houston probably than anyone knows."...
