A St. Charles man is accused of bringing a firearm into O’Hare International Airport Tuesday afternoon.

Besnik Ismajlaj, 53, was charged with a misdemeanor count of carrying a concealed firearm at the airport, Chicago police said.

Just before 1 p.m. Tuesday, Ismajlaj was arrested at the airport after a firearm was discovered in his bag, police said.

The weapon was recovered at the scene and no injuries were reported, authorities said.

Ismajlaj is scheduled to appear in court June 9.

Jose Luis Mendoza-Gonzalez, 52, of Waukegan, Ill. has been charged with concealment of a death, abuse of a corpse and obstructing justice, per the Waukegan Police Department. Private equity investor Konstantin Sokolov has donated $100 million to the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, giving it a potential lifeline at a time when elite US colleges risk losing billions of dollars in federal funding. SPRINGFIELD — Domenic J. Sarno, mayor of Springfield, waved a sledge Monday while talking about plans to bring the hammer down on illegal dirt bikers riding on city streets.

StoneX Group Inc., the New York-based financial services company, agreed to buy R.J. O’Brien & Associates in a $900 million deal to bulk up in global derivatives.

Founded in 1914, Chicago-based R.J. O’Brien is the oldest US futures brokerage and clearing firm, the companies said Monday in announcing the deal. The firm was the last surviving founding member of the Chicago Mercantile Exchange, which opened in 1919.
