A Southwest Airlines flight nearly involved in a collision at Chicago’s Midway International Airport originated from Omaha’s Eppley Airfield Tuesday morning. Video posted on social media showed the Boeing 737 passenger jet, operating as Southwest Airlines Flight 2504, was just about to land at 8:48 a.m. when a smaller aircraft crossed the runway in front of it. The Southwest Boing 737-8H4 had departed from Omaha, Nebraska, on Tuesday morning.

Footage of the terrifying moment shows flight SWA2504 aborting its landing as the private plane was entering its path.

A homeless woman who died at an encampment in Nebraska amid frigid temperatures is being remembered for her kindness and advocating for the less fortunate. Greg Sharpe, known as the “Voice of the Huskers," died Friday after a year-long battle with pancreatic cancer. He was 61.
