A coalition of plaintiffs that sued New Jersey for its failure to fix deeply-rooted de facto segregation in its public school system has asked a higher court to reverse a trial court decision that denied a clear ruling in their favor. Latino Action Network and NAACP New Jersey State Conference, among other groups and families that comprise the plaintiffs, sued the state in 2018....

Johnson, of Voorhees, is charged with three counts of distribution and possession of child sex abuse materials, the Camden County Prosecutor’s Office said Johnson was arrested Thursday after investigators searched her phone. She is being held at the Camden County jail ahead of a first appearance. No attorney is listed for Johnson in online court records. Anyone with information is asked to call Detective Patrick Collins of the Camden County...

Hunterdon Country is on the precipice of a culinary renaissance. This corner of Central Jersey has long held heaps of historical significance and a modest population. Now, it has the culinary chops to draw in diners from some of the most bustling and restaurant-dense regions across the state. One could thank the recently revamped Stockton Inn, nestled on the Delaware River, for contributing to the spotlight. Originally opened in 1710, the Stockton Inn is rumored to have been a speakeasy during Prohibition and beyond, a beloved outpost frequented by F....

Discord is facing a new lawsuit from the state of New Jersey, which claims that the chat app is engaged in “deceptive and unconscionable business practices” that put its younger users in danger. The lawsuit, filed on Thursday, comes after a multiyear investigation by the New Jersey Office of Attorney General. The AG’s office claims it has uncovered evidence that, despite Discord’s policies to protect children and teens, the popular messaging app is putting youth “at risk.” “We’re the first state in the country to sue Discord,” Attorney General Matthew...

After facing a cold spring morning Thursday, New Jersey will see a steady warmup heading into Easter weekend and the final weeks of April. That’s what forecasters from the National Weather Service and AccuWeather are predicting. The weather service’s Climate Prediction Center says there’s a good chance that temperatures in the Garden State during the final two weeks of April should be near normal or slightly above average. That means highs in the mid-60s next week and closer to the upper 60s during the final week of April. The agency...

Michael Roth, a New Jersey native and community investment expert who served briefly atop the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) under Joe Biden, is setting his sights on a new mission: flipping a GOP-held seat in the U.S. House of Representatives. Tom Kean Jr. (R-Westfield) that could be critical to determining control of the House in 2026. (Roth’s interest in the race had previously...
