A wildfire that burned through 191 acres in Gloucester County has been fully contained, officials said Thursday morning. The Scotland Run Wildfire began in the area of Pennsylvania Avenue and Coles Mill Road in Franklin Township and was first spotted around 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, according to the New Jersey Forest Fire Service. The Scotland Run Wildfire began in the area of Pennsylvania Avenue and Coles Mill Road in Franklin Township, the New Jersey Forest Fire Service said. A wildfire is currently raging in Franklin Township threatening over two dozen homes and businesses.

The blaze has already burned approximately 150 acres of land, with the New Jersey Forest Fire Service reporting that it broke out near Pennsylvania Avenue and Proposed Avenue around 6:30 p.m. last night.

Crews have made progress in containing the fire, which is currently 50% contained.
