New York Yankees ‘Very Close’ To Trade For Juan Soto: REPORT
The New York Yankees, who were absolutely horrendous at the plate in the 2022 season, are seemingly “very close” to landing a superstar in a blockbuster trade — a move that would fix a lot of their problems at the plate and get them back on the road to the World Series. And that superstar is San Diego Padres outfielder Juan Soto, with the Yanks closing in on a deal that would ship him off to the Bronx, according to the New York Daily News. To truly highlight how much...
Scott Boras’ take on Juan Soto, Yankees trade talks
NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Juan Soto is the type of stud that can wreak havoc offensively in any ballpark, one of the most well-rounded hitters in the game. That’s one of the many reasons why the Yankees are willing to part with a five-player package including starter Michael King and top prospect Drew Thorpe to acquire the superstar, even if he’s under contract for just one season. King and Thorpe — along with catcher Kyle Higashioka and pitchers Jhony Brito and Randy Vasquez — are reportedly the pieces that the Yankees...
Yankees reportedly close to landing superstar Juan Soto in blockbuster trade with Padres
NEW YORK -- The Yankees, who suffered through a brutal season at the plate in 2022, appear on the verge of a blockbuster trade that could greatly improve their chances of getting back to the World Series next season. According to various reports, they are closing in on a trade with the San Diego Padres that would send superstar outfield Juan Soto to the Bronx. Opposing fanbases may roll their eyes when Yankees fans complain about their championship drought dating back to 2009. But around here, that's an eternity. And...
Yankees closing in on trade for Juan Soto of Padres, reports say
NASHVILLE – That’s one way to change the narrative. A 2023 Yankees year that was nothing short of, to use the words of GM Brian Cashman, “a disaster” and had the fanbase as angry at team hierarchy as it has been in years, appears as if it will end on a high note for all involved parties. According to multiple reports as of late Wednesday afternoon, the Yankees, in need of a lefty-hitting outfielder going into the winter, were closing in on landing arguably the best one available in that...
Yankees, Padres deal to send Juan Soto to the Bronx ‘very close’: report
The Yankees are “very, very” close to landing superstar outfielder Juan Soto in a deal with the San Diego Padres, according to YES Network’s Jack Curry.
Soto being dealt to the Bombers would add another outfielder to the roster this offseason. On Tuesday, the team added former Red Sox outfielder Alex Verdugo in exchange right-handers Richard Fitts, Greg Weissert and Nicholas Judice.
A potential deal for Soto could include pitcher Michael King and several other players being sent to San Diego.
