For the second time in under a year, Spotify is raising its price for subscribers. Starting next month, the company says subscribers in the U.S. will pay an extra $1 per month for ad-free streaming, bringing the price to $11.99 per month. That follows an announcement last July, where it hiked the price from $10.99 per month. While two price bumps in a row are unusual, Spotify is hardly alone in its decision to raise the cost of ad-free music. Many major streaming services have increased prices in the past...

Note to Spotify users: Your subscription price — if, indeed, you pay at all — is going up this summer. And it’s all, according to officials from the coming, to ā€œbring users the best experience.ā€ CNN reports how Spotify subscribers with the platform’s ad-free premium plan will have to pay a dollar more starting in July, coming to a total monthly cost of $11.99. This, notes CNN, is a 20 percent increase over the past couple of years. NBC News continues to report that this bump in price also applies...

Spotify Premium users will soon see an increase in their monthly bill, the music streaming company announced Monday. "Over the next month, subscribers in the U.S. will receive an email explaining what this update means for their subscription," said in a blog post released by Spotify. The company said the hike is part of occasional price updates that allow the brand to "continue to invest in and innovate on our product features and bring users the best experience." Music streaming:It’s been 25 years since Napster launched and changed the music...

Spotify is hiking rates for its monthly streaming plans in the U.S. for the second time in a year. The Spotify Premium Individual plan is increasing by $1, from $10.99 to $11.99 per month, according to the company’s updated price listings. The Premium Family plan, which provides access for up to six members a household, is going up by $3, from $16.99 to $19.99 per month. In the U.S. — Spotify’s biggest market — the company last raised pricing on its subscription plans in July 2023, the first time it...

Spotify is increasing its prices again, less than a year after it last hiked prices for most of its subscription plans. The latest price hike comes as streaming media companies face rapidly increasing costs of doing business – and customers continued to sour over rising prices of goods as inflation remains stubbornly high. Beginning in July, Spotify’s US subscribers will pay $1 more per month for its ad-free premium plan, rising to $11.99 per month — a 20% increase over the past two years. The audio streamer said that it’s...
