An Atlanta, Georgia, grand jury indicted former President Donald Trump on Aug. 14, 2023, charging him with racketeering and 12 other felonies related to his alleged attempts to overturn his 2020 election defeat in the state. Eighteen of Trump’s allies and associates, including former Trump attorney Rudolph Giuliani and former White House chief of staff Mark Meadows, were also indicted for racketeering and other felony charges for their alleged involvement in the scheme. This marks Trump’s fourth indictment in five months—and the second to come from his efforts to undo...

Ruby Freeman and Misty Hampton had a few things in common. They were both from Georgia, and both were election workers in their hometowns. But their paths sharply diverged when Donald Trump began to push his fraudulent claims that he had won the 2020 presidential election and pressured officials in key swing states, including Georgia, to illegally change the outcome. As part of their unrelenting pressure on Georgia officials in the weeks after the November 2020 election, Trump and his allies launched a vicious campaign of harassment against Freeman, ginning...

Former Atlanta Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms on Wednesday explained why she believes that Fulton County, Georgia District Attorney Fani Willis is the ideal person to oversee the prosecution of the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations (RICO) Act case filed against ex-President Donald Trump and eighteen of his confederates for allegedly conspiring to steal the 2020 election. Willis "obviously has a sort of stewardship role for the entire process," Deadline White House host Nicolle Wallace noted to Bottoms, asking, "Where you think that that sort of grit and, and strength and...

On Monday night, Donald Trump and eighteen other people were indicted on forty-one felony counts by a grand jury in Atlanta. The case stemmed from Trump’s attempts to overturn the 2020 Presidential-election results in Georgia, where he was narrowly defeated by Joe Biden. Earlier this month, Jack Smith, a special counsel for the Department of Justice, filed a federal indictment related to Trump’s conduct in the aftermath of his election loss. A notable distinction between the two cases is that Fani Willis, the district attorney in Fulton County, Georgia, decided...

Donald Trump: Trump and his representatives have blasted the indictment in numerous statements. Among them: ā€œToday, Fani Willis joins Merrick Garland, Jack Smith, and Alvin Bragg in the Deranged Democrat Prosecutor Club - their only goal being to arrest Donald Trump and prevent him from being on the ballot against Joe Biden,ā€ said Karoline Leavitt, spokeswoman for Trump’s Make America Great Again political action committee. ā€œPresident Trump will continue to power through this unprecedented abuse of power, as the American public continues to rally around him harder, stronger, and more...

A fringe website reportedly has published a list of names and addresses of all grand jurors involved in Trump's indictment in Fulton County, Georgia. The website often uses violent language. In accordance with Georgia law, the names of those in the grand jury are public and included in the indictment against Trump and 18 other co-defendants for their attempts to interfere with the 2020 election results. But the alt-right website goes further, by including the addresses of each juror, according to an NBC News story. "NBC News is choosing not...

Donald Trump’s fourth indictment is, on almost every level, the most sprawling charging document against the former president to date, laying out 41 felony counts across 19 named defendants—along with 30 other unindicted, unnamed co-conspirators. Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis intends to bring all 19 named defendants to trial simultaneously, building her case with RICO statutes usually reserved for organized crime syndicates like the mafia or street gangs.

A disturbing report published in 2022 by Natalie Winters of WarRoom.org detailed how a group operating ā€œelection observingā€ programs in U.S. swing states elections is closely tied to the Communist Chinese government. The story focused on The Carter Center, a left-wing NGO founded by its namesake, former Democrat President Jimmy Carter. Winters documented the partnership between The Carter Center and multiple CCP-funded groups, including working on Chinese elections, as well as the group’s ā€œnonpartisanā€ election observers sent to ā€œmonitorā€ the 2022 midterms in several key states.

Georgia’s prosecutor is ā€œsaying that Trump and his allies are basically acting like a criminal enterprise, like some drug gang, or mafia,ā€ according to Paul Kamenar, lead counsel at the National Legal & Policy Center.

Former President Donald Trump was indicted a fourth time late Monday night in Fulton County, Georgia. The indictment alleges a ā€œjoined a conspiracy to unlawfully change the outcome of the election in favor of Trump.ā€ He and 18 co-defendants face a total of 41 charges, 13 of which are against President Trump.

Former New York City Mayor and Trump attorney Rudy Giuliani condemned Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis on Tuesday for indicting him using the kind of Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations (RICO) Act he used against the Mafia in the 1980s. During an interview with Giuliani on The Balance, Newsmax host Eric Bolling noted that the former mayor ā€œfamously used RICO to put away some of the most dangerous criminals the world has ever seen.ā€ Bolling listed, ā€œFat Tony Salerno from the Genovese crime family; Tony Ducks, Lucchese family; Carmine...
