A judge denied a bid by former White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows to move his election interference case from Georgia to a federal court. A federal trial would have made it easier for Meadows to claim immunity due to his official government position. It would also have offered Meadows a more Trump-friendly jury pool and a greater chance the case could end up at the Trump-stacked Supreme Court. In related news, a judge released the report from the Fulton County grand jury investigating Trump and his allies’ efforts...

Donald Trump’s former White House chief of staff Mark Meadowshas’ attempt to move his election interference case in Georgia to federal court has been postponed by a judge. It could also be a bad sign for the former president, who on Thursday told the judge overseeing the sprawling extortion case in Fulton County that he “may” also seek to move the case to federal court. Previously, the Fulton County Grand Jury’s special report on election interference was released, which included a list of Donald Trump allies who were recommended for...

The Fulton County grand jury's full report could still be bad news for Senator Lindsey Graham, a South Carolina Republican, as it could "serve as a basis for federal charges," former U.S. Attorney Barbara McQuade told Newsweek on Saturday. The report was released on Friday, over two years after originally convening to look into whether former President Donald Trump and his allies allegedly interfered with Georgia's electoral results. Their report was finalized on January 9 following a yearslong investigation led by Willis. Last month, Trump and 18 others were charged...

• Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis has indicted Donald Trump and 18 of his allies for conspiring to overturn Georgia’s 2020 presidential election results. • The special grand jury recommended indicting several other individuals, including Sen. Lindsey Graham, former Sens. David Perdue and Kelly Loeffler, Michael Flynn, Lin Wood, Boris Epshteyn, and fake electors. • Sen. Graham expressed his continued support for Trump, stating that he believed Trump was a good president and would not be deterred from supporting and campaigning for him.

In August, Donald Trump and 18 of his associates were charged in Fulton County, Georgia, over claims they acted illegally while attempting to overturn the 2020 presidential election result in the state. The former president has pled not guilty to 13 charges, including counts of conspiracy to commit forgery, solicitation of violation of oath by a public official and breaking Georgia's anti-racketeering act. Trump surrendered voluntarily and had his mug shot taken, causing a social-media sensation. He insists all the charges against him are politically motivated.

ATLANTA -- The special grand jury that investigated efforts by Donald Trump and others to overturn Georgia's 2020 election results recommended indictments against twice as many people as the 19 ultimately charged by prosecutors, leaving South Carolina Sen. Lindsey Graham among those not indicted. The grand jurors' report released Friday showed that they recommended charges against 39 people, including Graham, former U.S. Sens. Kelly Loeffler and David Perdue of Georgia and former Trump national security adviser Michael Flynn.

Former President Donald Trump released a statement expressing further doubts in Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis, and her office, after the grand jury report for the racketeering case against him was made public. The report revealed that, in addition to the 19 charged by Willis, charges were recommended for additional 20 people, including Georgia Lt. Governor Burt Jones, former Republican Georgia Senators Kelly Loeffler and David Perdue, and Senator Lindsey Graham (R-SC). Trump wrote that the grand jury report has “zero credibility and badly taints” Willis, and her case...

Former President Trump pushed back after a Sept. 8 Georgia grand jury report was released indicating it had recommended charges against several Trump allies, including Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.). The report, released on Sept. 8, is the latest in a long line of indictments against President Trump and those associated with him, with indictments on the state and federal level. The former president referred to Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis as an "out-of-control 'prosecutor' doing the work of, and for, the [Department of Justice]." The Fulton County, Georgia, grand...
