Biden earned a 39% approval rating in the latest Reuters/Ipsos survey, marking a modest decline from the 40% he earned in October. Driving that figure, in part, are heightened voter concerns about the economy, crime, and foreign wars, all issues on which Biden has typically earned low marks. Twenty percent of respondents listed the economy as their top concern, while 9% picked crime, 8% said foreign conflicts, and 7% said the environment. [Notable mainly because the Reuters/Ipsos poll has tended to be more sympathetic to Biden and the Dems. It’s...

I have been asking myself, ā€œWhen are the Democrats going to take the gloves off and start fighting backā€. The suspect Poll released by the Times this week has done nothing but enforce my anxiety and raise it to the code-red level. Every day, I watch MSNBC and see commercials extolling how Biden has lowered the price of insulin, created more jobs, and is building new infrastructure. Apparently, these ads are not having the desired results and obviously running them on MSNBC is in reality, preaching to the choir. If...

Former Democratic Ohio Rep. Tim Ryan said President Joe Biden should do the right thing and drop out of the 2024 race. Ryan, appearing on CNN on Monday, said he is "worried" about Biden's electoral chances against former President Donald Trump after a New York Times-Siena College poll showed Biden trailing Trump in five of six swing states a year out from the election. The former congressman called on Biden to forgo running and said the same for Trump. NOVEMBER TO REMEMBER: SIX THINGS TO WATCH ON ELECTION DAY "I...

Former President Donald Trump will be traveling between the courtroom and the campaign trail as he seeks a return to the White House in 2024, but that may only cause problems for President Joe Biden. Trump, who is currently the front-runner in the Republican presidential primary, testified at his New York fraud trial on Monday fresh off the release of a New York Times-Siena College poll that shows him leading Biden, who is expected to be the Democratic nominee in 2024. Trump's legal troubles have not damaged his campaign so...

Many Black voters are "unhappy with President Biden," according to The New York Times. A Monday report headlined, "As Black Voters Drift to Trump, Biden’s Allies Say They Have Work to Do," noted that "polling painted a worrisome picture of the president’s standing with a crucial constituency" and "Democratic strategists warned that the erosion could threaten his re-election." The New York Times-Siena College poll released Sunday found Trump leading Biden by 10 points in Nevada, six points in Georgia, five points in both Arizona and Michigan, and four points in...

Democratic strategist David Axelrod played down comments he made Monday which implied President Biden should drop out of the 2024 race. ā€œIt’s overreacting to say I told him to drop out,ā€ the senior Obama advisor told Politico on Tuesday. ā€œI didn’t do that.ā€ ā€œHe’s the only one to make the decision. And if his decision is ā€˜no, I’m the best person to take this on,’ then he will,ā€ he added. Axelrod sent a dire warning to the president on Monday, saying poor polling numbers ā€œwill send tremors of doubt thru...

Former Ohio Congressman Tim Ryan (D) implored President Joe Biden to forgo seeking reelection and let someone else take his place as the 2024 Democratic nominee. Ryan joined Kasie Hunt on Monday for CNN International, where he spoke in favor of Biden’s policies while acknowledging how they’ve failed to resonate and inspire confidence among voters. Much of the conversation revolved around the new polls showing Biden in critical danger against Donald Trump within the swing states likely to decide the next presidential election. Hunt asked Ryan if he regrets not...

President Joe Biden’s campaign and the Democratic National Committee have spent millions on television advertisements this year to boost the president’s image, but polling for the president has remained unfavorable. Biden and the DNC have spent approximately $7 million on positive TV ads this year, alongside less than $100,000 on TV messaging aimed at attacking former President Donald Trump, Politico reported. A Gallup poll released on Oct. 26 found that Biden’s approval had slipped four points to 37%, tying his record low, and a New York Times/Siena College poll released...

Political commentator and former top Obama adviser David Axelrod is walking back comments he made yesterday where he suggest that Joe Biden should drop out of the 2024 race, Politico reported. ā€œIt’s overreacting to say I told him to drop out,ā€ said Axelrod. ā€œI didn’t do that.ā€ ā€œHe’s the only one to make the decision. And if his decision is ā€˜no, I’m the best person to take this on,’ then he will,ā€ he added. On Monday, Axelrod replied to that showed Biden down by four to 10 points in key...

Axelrod’s comments came shortly after he issued a viral tweet on a New York Times/Siena College poll that showed Biden down by four to 10 points in key battleground states. In it, the longtime Obama hand said, ā€œOnly @JoeBiden can make this decision. If he continues to run, he will be the nominee of the Democratic Party. What he needs to decide is whether that is wise; whether it’s in HIS best interest or the country’s?ā€ The remarks were met with derision by Biden allies, some of whom argued that...
