Inside look at site of Miami's Republican presidential debate

All eyes are on South Florida as final preparations are underway for Wednesday night's Republican presidential debate. The debate is being held at the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts of Miami-Dade County, right in the heart of downtown Miami. The venue has had crews...

Ratings for the third Republican presidential debate on NBC fell even further than the viewership for the second GOP debate and the Country Music Awards (CMA) just barely missed scoring its worst showing ever. Nielsen data released on Thursday show that the showdown between the five Republican presidential hopefuls brought in 7.5 million viewers on the network compared to the 9.5 million people who tuned in to Fox News, Fox Business, and Univision on September 27, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The debate, while it was also broadcast on Peacock...

A new poll suggests that former Ambassador Nikki Haley and Florida Governor Ron DeSantis (R) will be the biggest beneficiaries of Wednesday night’s GOP presidential primary debate. The survey of Republican primary voters who watched the debate — conducted by the Washington Post, FiveThirtyEight, and Ipsos — indicated that the largest proportion of respondents (34%) believed Haley had performed best during the forum. DeSantis followed with 23%, while Vivek Ramaswamy (14%) finished in a distant third.

Viewership for the the third GOP presidential debate plummeted nearly 50% compared to the first debate held in September. The two-hour debate, hosted by NBC News and moderated by Lester Holt, Kristen Welker and Hugh Hewitt, was held in Miami on Wednesday at 8 p.m. Ratings showed an average of 7.51 million people tuned in to watch the five Republican presidential candidates spar largely on foreign policy, with viewers watching the program on linear television, digital and streaming platforms, according to NBC News. The debate was still the most-watched program...

Five Republicans seeking to oust President Joe Biden from the White House in 2024 sparred over the Israel-Hamas war, the threat from China and the U.S. approach to terrorism in the third GOP presidential primary debate Wednesday night. Former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie, Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley, entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy and U.S. Sen. Tim Scott, R-S.C., repeatedly expressed support for Israel and denounced Hamas, while criticizing Biden for his administration’s response.

Fewer than 7 million people watched Wednesday night’s third Republican presidential primary debate on television, the lowest of the debates so far this cycle. NBC News’s broadcast of the third GOP debate, which aired in prime-time from 8-10 p.m., delivered 6.8 million viewers on linear television, including 1.3 million in the advertiser-coveted 25-54 age demographic, according to Nielsen Media Research. Those figures do not include viewers who watched the event on streaming platforms or saw clips or highlights from the debate on social media and elsewhere. NBC News celebrated the...

The Republican presidential primary debate Wednesday night drew 6.863 million viewers on NBC, and 1.312 million viewers in the key demographic of adults 25-54, which represents a significant drop off from the first GOP debate of the 2024 cycle, which drew 12.8 million viewers on Fox News back in August. NBC’s streaming coverage of the debate on NBC News Now delivered its largest prime time audience ever, with viewership on the platform up 442% across all four hours, including the live debate, lead-up coverage and post-debate analysis. NBC says the...
