An Indiana man who President Donald Trump pardoned for his participation in the Capitol riot on January 6, 2021, was shot dead by police on Sunday at a traffic stop.

The Details: Matthew Huttle, 42, had served time in jail for his participation in the Capitol riot and was charged with a misdemeanor for entering restricted grounds, before being pardoned by Trump. Police said they tried to arrest him at a traffic stop around 4:15 PM when he resisted arrest and engaged in an altercation with a Jasper County Sheriff’s deputy.
