On Friday, the Trump administration announced that it would send an additional $13 billion to aid Puerto Rico’s recovery from 2017’s Hurricane Maria. $9.6 billion of the aid will come from the Federal Emergency Management Administration (FEMA) to fund the Puerto Rico Electrical Power Authority, and another $2 billion will go to Puerto Rico’s Department of Education.
