ABC News President Kim Godwin stepped down Sunday night following an investigation into her management of her network.

The overseer of the network, Debra O’Connell, opened a corporate investigation into Godwin and other senior executives over the growing frustration among staffers, vacant top positions and the drop in ratings at its prominent program, ā€œGood Morning America.ā€ Several people alleged Godwin dedicated more time to her profile than creating success in the news division, and that her mismanagement ā€œshockedā€ O’Connell, WSJ reported.

Kim Godwin is leaving as the head of ABC News, she announced to employees on Sunday evening.

Godwin is retiring after what she called a time of ā€œconsiderable reflection,ā€ she wrote in a note obtained by The Hill.

In another note to staff, Debra O’Connell, a longtime executive at Disney, which owns ABC News, said she would be taking over for Godwin.

Washington becomes latest state that could leave Biden off their November ballot Washington state has just joined Ohio and Alabama in signifying through elections officials that President Joe Biden could be left off their general election ballots due to a conflict between the dates of the Democratic National Committee's nominating convention and state ballot deadlines. On Thursday, the director of elections at the office of Washington's Secretary of State sent a letter -- obtained by ABC News -- to DNC Chair Jamie Harrison, warning that the deadline for ballot certification...

The husband of the former Kansas City Chiefs cheerleader who died in childbirth following the stillbirth of her daughter is speaking out. Clayton Anderson called his late wife Krystal "Krissy" Anderson "my world, my best friend and obviously the love of my life" in an interview with ABC News following her March 20 death from sepsis at age 40. Krissy died after the stillbirth of the couple's daughter, Charlotte Willow, on March 16. Charlotte was born during Krissy's 20th week of pregnancy, per ABC News . The couple rushed to...

Multiple studies linking the use of acetaminophen (Tylenol) during pregnancy to neurological conditions like autism and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) are being challenged by a new study that has just emerged from the Karolinska Institute in Sweden and Drexel University. The study, published in the peer-reviewed medical journal JAMA on Tuesday, analyzed about 2.5 million children born between 1995 and 2019, and found "no evidence of increased risk of autism or ADHD associated with acetaminophen use," according to the study.

Solar panels are being used in Gaza to power wells, creating clean water GAZA -- A man in the Gaza Strip is using solar panels to clean water for his neighbors – a seemingly small gesture that has large consequences at a time when the region is in the midst of a humanitarian crisis. "Yesterday, I filled this car with clean water from the well, 6,500 liters, and distributed it among people in need of water," Mohammed Assalia told ABC News. "Some people use these wheelchairs to transport the water...

Three top DOT officials saw flood damage at the center of a civil rights probe. An unlikely visitor made his way through rural Alabama last Wednesday to visit the community of Shiloh, a place usually far from the public eye. U.S. Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg and two of his top officials came to Shiloh at the request of local landowners who say they've experienced frequent flooding ever since the state widened a highway alongside their homes. Many of the Black families that make up the Shiloh community have owned their...

Former President Donald Trump has filed a defamation lawsuit against ABC News and George Stephanopoulos, claiming his reputation was tarnished by the anchor saying multiple times on-air that Trump had been found liable for raping writer E. Jean Carroll.

Trump filed the lawsuit in federal court in Miami on Monday over a viral interview between US Rep. Nancy Mace (R-SC) and Stephanopoulos on ā€œThis Weekā€ on March 10, according to The Hill.

In fairness, each of the network evening newscasts covered Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer’s unprecedented and repulsive foray into foreign election interference. But, as usual, it is ABC Whirled News Tonight that consistently prove themselves most willing to carry that Biden water.

Note the repetition and echoes as David Muir frames the story and then goes to correspondent Matt Gutman’s video package:

Late Wednesday afternoon, the Supreme Court announced they’d hear the case on presidential immunity as it relates to Special Counsel Jack Smith’s January 6 criminal case against former President Trump. Naturally, this decision left the liberal media — including ABC and NBC on Wednesday night and Thursday morning — enraged this could further delay what they hope leads to Trump’s imprisonment.
