A group of nearly 700 Jewish college faculty signed a letter to President Biden on Wednesday encouraging him not to back the controversial Antisemitism Awareness Act.

The academics took issue with the act’s use of the International Holocaust Awareness Alliance’s (IHRA) definition of antisemitism, which has raised concerns that legitimate criticisms of the state of Israel could be seen as antisemitic under the bill.

The bill easily passed the House last week, though 21 Republicans and 70 Democrats voted against it, with many voicing the same concerns as the faculty.

Pro-Hamas protesters show who they are.

Most protesters, no matter how deep their disaffection from this country, at least try to hide their anti-Americanism.

That’s not true of the pro-Hamas agitators, who can’t be bothered. Such is their hatred of America — and its symbols, history, and heroes — that they casually engage in profoundly unpatriotic acts of desecration.

Republican lawmakers incensed over antisemitism on college campuses are now directing their wrath at elementary and high school administrators.

School officials from California, New York and Maryland are set to testify before a House Education and the Workforce subcommittee on Wednesday to address what conservatives describe as a streak of hateful rhetoric in K-12 schools that’s intensified during the Israel-Gaza conflict.

Rep. Ilhan Omar, D-Minn., is being hit with a censure resolution on Tuesday after she referred to some Jewish students as "pro-genocide" during a recent visit to Columbia University.

Rep. Don Bacon, R-Neb., is introducing the resolution against Omar on Tuesday, a source familiar with his plans told Fox News Digital.

The New York City Ivy League school has been the flashpoint for nationwide demonstrations on college campuses, where students have set up tent encampments to protest their universities' financial ties to pro-Israel companies.

U.S. President Joe Biden on Tuesday warned that the threat of antisemitism is growing, in remarks honoring the 6 million Jews killed in the Holocaust, as his support for Israel's assault on Gaza divides his Democratic Party.

"Never again simply translated for me means: Never forget. Never forgetting means we must keep telling the story, we must keep teaching the truth," Biden said as he addressed a bipartisan memorial held at the U.S. Capitol's Emancipation Hall. "The truth is we're at risk of people not knowing the truth."

President Biden said Tuesday that the hatred of Jews "continues to lie deep in the hearts of too many people in the world" while delivering the keynote address at the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum's annual Days of Remembrance ceremony.

The president spoke in Washington, D.C. as anti-Israel protests have been disrupting college campuses around the country.

"That hatred is brought to life on October 7th, in 2023, on a sacred Jewish holiday," Biden said. "The terrorist group Hamas unleashed the deadliest day of the Jewish people since the Holocaust."

President Joe Biden delivered a major speech denouncing antisemitism on Tuesday at the U.S. Capitol.

The remarks are part of a U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum ceremony marking the Days of Remembrance to honor the memory of the six million Jews killed during the Holocaust as well as other victims of Nazi persecution.

The House of Representatives on Wednesday passed the Countering Antisemitism Act, which purports to crack down on anti-Semitism on college campuses as protests continue to rage nationwide. The bill would require the Department of Education to adopt the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance’s definition of anti-Semitism when enforcing the 1964 Civil Rights Act on college campuses.

What exactly is the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance’s definition of anti-Semitism? The organization defines it as:

Raucous pro-Palestine protests have taken over college campuses across the country for the past several days. At UCLA, protesters declared areas of campus off-limits to pro-Israel students and blocked them from entering certain spaces, even just to get to class. At night, masked counter-protesters attacked the pro-Palestine encampment, tearing down barricades and shooting fireworks at the protesters.
