An Arizona grand jury has indicted a man in the fatal shooting of his 1-year-old daughter, and prosecutors say he carried out the crime with an AR-style rifle in front of the girl’s mother.

The indictment issued earlier this month charges Adam Joseph Montoya, 27, with two felony counts — second-degree murder and child abuse. Montoya has pleaded not guilty to the charges.

The Navajo County Public Defender’s Office, which is representing Montoya, declined comment Monday.

The shooting took place Feb. 3 at a home...

Arizona’s Senate president will urge Interior Secretary Doug Burgum to undo former President Joe Biden’s "land grab" in the Grand Canyon State that he said wrongly cordoned off nearly 1 million acres in the state for future energy exploration.

State Sen. Warren Petersen, R-Gilbert, said in a letter to President Donald Trump’s new Cabinet official – and obtained by Fox News Digital – that he will take swift and sweeping actions like undoing certain national monument designations to "Make America Energy Dominant Again."

A dozen paid operatives registered with Arizona’s secretary of state on Sunday to collect signatures on behalf of left-wing presidential candidate Cornel West, listing their employer as a Republican-leaning firm that recently worked for GOP House candidate Blake Masters.

Arizona, unlike most states, requires paid or out-of-state petition-gatherers to register with the state. On their public registrations, some of circulators working to help West get on the ballot in Arizona struggled to spell his name, listing it as “Carnel west” or “Cornelle West.”

An Arizona man was indicted on federal weapons charges after being arrested as part of a sting operation that involved a planned hate crime-related mass shooting at an Atlanta concert. Mark Adams Prieto, 58, was charged with Firearms Trafficking, Transfer of a Firearm for Use in a Hate Crime, and Possession of an Unregistered Firearm nearly a month after his May 14 arrest, when he was pulled over in New Mexico while driving from his native Arizona to Florida while in possession of seven firearms. Those weapons, the Department of...

Former White House chief of staff Mark Meadows and former Trump aide Michael Roman pleaded not guilty Friday to nine felony charges related to efforts to overturn the results of the 2020 presidential election in Arizona.

The two defendants appeared virtually at separate hearings in which their lawyers entered their not guilty pleas. The trial date is set for Oct. 31.

Former President Donald Trump has largely been absent in Arizona — limited staffing and no advertisements. On Thursday, he returned to the Grand Canyon state after nearly two years to back up on-the-ground organizing from outside groups.

On Thursday, Trump held a town hall event sponsored by Turning Point Action, which focuses on mobilizing young conservatives, at Dream City Church in Phoenix. To a chanting crowd of thousands, Trump vowed to make his voter mobilization efforts this cycle “too big to rig.”

Democratic Rep. Ruben Gallego has consistently said that he opposes allowing anyone other than United States citizens to vote in Arizona and in federal elections. But in a campaign ad attacking him, Arizona Republican Senate candidate Kari Lake misleadingly claims that the congressman “supports … allowing illegals to vote.”

Ex-Trump lawyer Rudy Giuliani was served notice late Friday of his Arizona indictment in the alleged scheme to overturn 2020 presidential election results in former President Trump's favor, per the state's attorney general.

Why it matters: Giuliani, who was served the same day as his 80th birthday party in Palm Beach, Florida, is the last defendant indicted in the case. It made Arizona the fourth state to charge electors with falsely casting votes for Trump in states President Biden picked up.
