Police are investigating the circumstances that led to a U.S. attorney being found dead inside her Virginia home Saturday.

At 9:18 a.m., police in Alexandria, Virginia, responded to reports of an unresponsive woman and found her deceased.

She was later identified as former U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of Virginia Jessica Aber, 43. She was nominated to the post by then-president Joe Biden.

A former United States attorney was found dead in Virginia Saturday morning, just two months after leaving office.

Jessica D. Aber, 43, worked as the U.S. attorney for the Eastern District of Virginia from 2021 to 2025. Appointed by former President Joe Biden, she served in the role until resigning Jan. 20.

In a news release Saturday, the Alexandria Police Department (APD) confirmed Aber's death, reporting it received a call about an "unresponsive woman" at around 9:18 a.m. Saturday.

Former U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of Virginia, Jessica Aber, who was found dead at the age of 43 by Virginia authorities on Saturday, was at the helm of high-profile investigations into intelligence leaks, allegations of war crimes against Russian-linked individuals and people suspected of providing sensitive U.S. technology to Moscow before she stepped down at the start of the year.

Former U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of Virginia Jessica Aber was found dead Saturday morning, in Alexandria, Virginia, according to police.

She was 43.

Police in Alexandria, Virginia, were called to a home on Beverly Drive in the suburb of Washington, D.C., at around 9:18 a.m. Saturday for the report of an unresponsive woman, according to a police statement. They found Aber dead inside.

A California man has been indicted by an Atlanta grand jury on charges of threatening Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis (D), according to a Friday press release from the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of Georgia.

Marc Shultz, 66, of Chula Vista, Calif., reportedly made the threats due to Wills’ prosecution of former President Trump.

Las Vegas police said a gunman opened fire inside a law firm near the Red Rock resort Monday morning, killing a man and a woman, then turned the gun on himself.

FOX5 has learned that the victims of the shooting at the Summerlin law firm were Dennis Prince and his wife, Ashley Prince.

Joe Houston, a Las Vegas attorney, has been identified as the gunman, and allegedly shot Dennis and Ashley before turning the gun on himself. A family member of Dennis Prince also confirmed his death and the details of what led up to the shooting, FOX5 reported.

Hunter Biden attorney Christopher Clark is withdrawing from representing the president’s son in a Delaware probe, pointing to a continuing legal battle over a plea agreement in the tax case that dissolved before it could be approved by a judge.

Clark’s notice to the court indicates he could be a witness in coming challenges over the disintegration of the deal, which the Justice Department moved to withdraw minutes after Attorney General Merrick Garland elevated Delaware prosecutor David Weiss to serve as a special counsel in the matter.
