Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Thursday called antisemitism a global "disease" affecting the world, including on U.S. campuses, which Congress is working to combat. The U.S. is also targeting the Iranian-backed Houthis in Yemen as they continue launching missiles at Israel.

Israelis ran for cover Thursday afternoon as two more missiles were fired from Yemen in the middle of the day targeting Jerusalem and central Israel. Interceptors shot both of them down.

The Israeli military says it is carrying out "extensive strikes" in the Gaza Strip.

A spokesperson for Gaza's Hamas-run Civil Defence agency – the strip's main emergency response service – told the BBC that at least 34 Palestinians have been killed and 70 others injured.

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said it was targeting what it called "terror targets" belonging to Hamas.

This is the largest wave of airstrikes in Gaza since the ceasefire began on 19 January...

Israel ordered all of Gaza's electricity supply to be cut off on Sunday in an effort to pressure Hamas into releasing the remaining Israeli hostages held in the territory.

Energy minister Eli Cohen's announcement came a week after Israel cut off all aid supplies to the territory, which has a population of more than two million people.

In a video statement on Sunday, Cohen said: "We will use all the tools at our disposal to bring back the hostages and ensure that Hamas is no longer in Gaza the day after [the war]."

On March 2, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced that Israel would halt the entry of all goods and supplies to Gaza. This decision came after Hamas rejected a framework proposed by U.S. Special Envoy to the Middle East Steve Witkoff intended to continue the hostage-ceasefire talks—a framework Israel had already agreed to.

Based on facts, either observed and verified firsthand by the reporter, or reported and verified from knowledgeable sources. The State Department informed Congress of its plan to sell over $7 billion in weapons to Israel, which includes thousands of bombs and missiles. This announcement comes just two days after President Donald Trump met with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu at the White House. This significant arms sale occurs amidst a fragile ceasefire agreement between Israel and Hamas.

Dozens of countries have expressed "unwavering support" for the International Criminal Court (ICC) after US President Donald Trump imposed sanctions on its staff.

A majority of member states, including the UK, Germany and France, said that the ICC was "a vital pillar of the international justice system".

Trump announced the sanctions after hosting Israel's Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu - the first foreign leader to visit him since returning to power.
