Newsmax's stock broke records for initial public offerings in its first week of trading, becoming the first Regulation A+ offering to go directly to the NYSE's Big Board – while captivating the markets with a dizzying valuation.

After trading began Monday just before 11 a.m. ET, Newsmax (NMAX) soon found itself with a share price of $44.30 and a market capitalization of $4.18 billion.

The New York Times marveled that Newsmax's spectacular rise briefly put it at a richer valuation than U.S. Steel...

An unintended pregnancy is an unexpected battleground across the United States. Every woman should be loved and supported in her pregnancy. Compassionate help dedicated to encouraging women with unplanned pregnancies to say yes to their babies is not something that should be controversial.

President Donald Trump's tariffs on automobiles and automobile parts are going to hit some automakers harder than others, particularly among those with a lower share of their U.S.-sold vehicles assembled outside the U.S.

For instance, Volvo, Mazda, Volkswagen and Hyundai Motor, which include the brands Genesis and Kia, imported at least 60% of their respective U.S. sales in 2024, according to S&P Global Mobility.

Comparatively, Ford, Honda, Stellantis and General Motors have the most cars made in the U.S., the S&P Global Mobility report showed.

23andMe has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection and its co-founder and CEO has resigned as the struggling genetic testing company continues its push to cut costs.

San Francisco-based 23andMe announced on Sunday that it will look to sell ā€œsubstantially all of its assetsā€ through a court-approved reorganization plan.

Border agents are seeing a sharp rise in the number of egg smuggling attempts by travelers coming from Mexico and Canada as prices in the US have surged to as high as $10 a carton.

US Customs and Border Protection reported a 36% increase in egg interceptions this fiscal year — with certain border regions in Texas experiencing a 54% spike, while cases in San Diego have more than doubled, according to the Wall Street Journal...

Egg prices have fallen sharply so far in March on some progress in ending a shortage, giving consumers some much-needed relief with the supermarket staple.

The cost of white large shell eggs declined to $6.85 per dozen, on average, last week, according to data from the U.S. Department of Agriculture. That represents a decline of $1.20 per dozen, and a 15% pull back the USDA’s prior update on Feb. 28.

After months of sticker shock from the nationwide egg crisis, relief might finally be on the way.

The U.S. Department of Agriculture reported Friday that the national average wholesale price of eggs has been steadily declining since late February. In other words, the cost that distributors are charging retailers is going down.

According to the latest USDA report, the average wholesale cost of large white eggs was $4.15 per dozen — about half of what it was just a few weeks ago...
