In an exclusive interview with NewsNation’s “On Balance,” the nine-year-old boy accused of wearing blackface to a Kansas City Chiefs game is speaking out after his parents filed a lawsuit against website Deadspin, alleging defamation and intentional infliction of emotional distress.

If you are one of the last people on earth who still requires proof that the press is full of objectively evil people, I come bearing gifts.

The story starts with a young Kansas City Chiefs fan. I don't know what his name is, and I wouldn't share it if I did because it's irrelevant. What's relevant is that the sports and political commentary site Deadspin decided they needed to destroy him.

Jimmy Fallon apologized after a resurfaced video of him wearing blackface sparked outrage on social media — although it wasn’t the first time the video had circulated online.

On Tuesday, a short video of the “Tonight Show” host impersonating Chris Rock in a “Saturday Night Live” sketch from 2000 went viral along with the hashtag #JimmyFallonIsOverParty on Twitter.

Amsterdam, the Netherlands - In Amsterdam's traditional and now trendy Jordaan neighbourhood, a house is bedecked with the festive holiday trappings of Sinterklaas, the annual Dutch holiday.

More than a dozen blackface dolls are affixed to the facade. Across the street, a large white sheet hangs outside another house with a painted message in blue: Zwarte Piet is Racisme.

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau apologized Thursday over his growing blackface scandal but stopped short of saying whether there were more pictures or videos of him dressed up in darkened makeup.

"I am wary of being definitive about this because the recent pictures that came out, I had not remembered," he said during a news conference in Winnipeg. "And, the question is, how can you not remember that? The fact is, I didn't understand how hurtful this is to people who live with discrimination every single day."

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau apologized again on Thursday for wearing blackface in three separate incidents and said he did not know how many times he had put on racist makeup.

"What I did hurt them, hurt people who shouldn't have to face intolerance and discrimination because of their identity. This is something I deeply, deeply regret," he said.

Darkening your face, he added, "is always unacceptable because of the racist history of blackface. I should have understood that then, and I never should have done it."

Four Colorado State University students who posed in an Instagram photo wearing blackface will not be punished because of First Amendment rights, the school said.

The image shared over the weekend shows one woman and three men looking at the camera with their faces painted in black. Two have their arms crossed against their chests. The caption reads, “Wakanda forevaa,” a reference to Marvel’s blockbuster film “Black Panther.”
