The Senate confirmed Kash Patel to become FBI director today on a narrow vote of 51-49.

Republican Sens. Susan Collins of Maine and Lisa Murkowski of Alaksa joined Democrats in voting against the nomination.

Tulsi Gabbard, President Donald Trump’s pick to become director of national intelligence, cleared a key procedural hurdle on Monday to advance her nomination toward a final Senate vote.

The Republican-led chamber, requiring only a simple majority, voted 52-46 to clear a procedural step and set the stage for confirmation later in the week.

Donald Trump is back, and it sure isn’t 2017 anymore in the Senate.

Two of the president’s most controversial nominees are on a glide path to confirmation later this week. That caps off a notable three-week stretch that has seen more than a dozen Trump Cabinet nominees confirmed with near-unanimous Republican support.

Based on facts, either observed and verified firsthand by the reporter, or reported and verified from knowledgeable sources. Pam Bondi, a former Florida attorney general and corporate lobbyist, was confirmed as the U.S. Attorney General, placing a staunch ally of President Donald Trump at the helm of the Justice Department (DOJ). After the 54-46 vote, including a "yay" vote from Democrat John Fetterman of Pennsylvania, Bondi's appointment comes amidst a DOJ already troubled by the dismissals of career employees perceived as disloyal to Trump. Bondi will be responsible for overseeing...

The US Senate confirmed fracking pioneer Chris Wright to lead the Department of Energy, elevating another cabinet official committed to President Trump’s agenda to ā€œdrill, baby, drillā€ by boosting fossil fuel production nationwide.

Wright, 59, was approved in a 59-38 vote, with both Republicans and Democrats supporting his confirmation as the next energy secretary after clearing a procedural hurdle last week on a bipartisan basis as well.

One of the people on Kash Patel’s list of ā€œcorrupt actorsā€ from the ā€œdeep stateā€ is taking the drastic step of moving their family before Patel’s potential confirmation to lead the FBI.

The individual, granted anonymity to speak freely about security measures, decided to relocate in the coming weeks and is taking other steps to keep their new home purchase anonymous. They said they’re doing this because they are afraid Patel might weaponize the FBI against them or use his platform to inspire others to take action.

More than four dozen former intelligence officials urged the Senate on Monday to confirm Tulsi Gabbard as President Donald Trump's new director of national intelligence.

Gabbard was nominated for the position by Trump in November after she joined the Republican Party. The Senate Intelligence Committee is expected to hold a hearing for Gabbard later this week.
