Though a relative newcomer to Washington, Rep. Byron Donalds (R-FL) is already situating himself as a rising leader in the Republican Party and very likely beyond the House chamber.

The second-term lawmaker challenged Rep. Elise Stefanik (R-NY) for the No. 3 position in House GOP leadership in November and then mounted a bid against Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) for House speaker just weeks later. Though he lost both contests, the moves illustrate where Donalds's sights are set as he raises his profile nationally.

GOP Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene got the crowd at this year's annual Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) to boo Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky after she promoted a false claim that Ukraine wants Americans to help fight in the war against Russia.

On Friday, audience members at Greene's conference speech were heard booing in response to her remarks that Zelensky "wants our sons and daughters to go die in Ukraine."

That line above came from Republican presidential hopeful Nikki Haley, as she spoke Friday at the annual Conservative Political Action Conference.

Haley, a former U.S. ambassador to the U.N. and ex-governor of South Carolina, also described China as ā€œthe strongest, most disciplined enemy we’ve ever faced,ā€ while criticizing how President Joe Biden has responded to Beijing.

ā€œDid you ever think that Americans would look to the sky and see a Chinese spy balloon looking back down at us? It was a national embarrassment,ā€ she said.

Republican presidential candidate Nikki Haley took an implicit dig at former President Donald Trump, calling on GOP voters to end the party’s losing streak by throwing their support behind her in the primary election.

ā€œWe’ve lost the popular vote in seven of the last eight presidential elections,ā€ Haley said on Friday. ā€œOur cause is right, but we have failed to win the confidence of a majority of Americans. That ends now. If you’re tired of losing, then put your trust in a new generation.ā€

Republican presidential candidate Nikki Haley ventured onto Donald Trump stomping grounds on Friday, seeking support from rank-and-file Republicans who are ā€œtired of losingā€.

In remarks at the annual Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) outside of Washington DC, Haley presented herself as the face of a ā€œnew generationā€ of Republican leaders, making her pitch to a crowd still largely wed to Trump, her 76-year-old former boss and rival for the party’s nomination..

The two presumed front-runners of the 2024 GOP primary field are headlining competing conservative political events this week as the race to the White House picks up.

Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis, speaking in front of 120 of the top donors in the GOP, showcased that his conservative victories in the past four years in Florida have turned the one-time general election battleground "into the nation’s leading red state."

CPAC Chairman Matt Schlapp told Newsmax on Monday that it's "silly" to blame former Donald Trump for the disappointing performance of Republicans in last week's midterm elections.

Schlapp told Newsmax's "Wake Up America" that "Trump's batting average on his candidates were better than almost anybody's and that "to blame Donald Trump [for the poor results] is silly."

Former President Donald Trump told conservatives gathered in Texas that senators Joe Manchin (D-W.Va.) and Kyrsten Sinema (D-Ariz.) will pay the ultimate political price for backing a $739 billion bill investing heavily in green energy.

Trump made the remarks during a speech to an audience of some 5,000 attendees as the final speaker at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) in Dallas on Saturday.

Former President Trump outlined steps for Republicans to take if they win back control of Congress in November during his speech Saturday at the Conservative Political Action Conference.

Trump said the midterms need to be a ā€œnational referendumā€ on President Biden and Democratic control of Congress, and Republicans must ensure Democrats are dealt a ā€œcripplingā€ defeat. His speech at the convention in Dallas, Texas, concluded its third day.

Donald Trump said Capitol riot instigators and the plot to kidnap Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer were "fake" in a speech at the Conservative Political Action Conference in Dallas, Texas, on Saturday.

The former president made the comments after talking about the January 6 Congressional hearings, which he called a "one-sided witch hunt."

"As another example, the sting they did involving Gretchen Whitmer was fake. Just like those who instigated January 6. It was a fake deal. Fake. It was a fake deal," Trump said.
