Former President Donald Trump’s political operation has routed more than $3 million so far this year through a Delaware limited liability company whose owners are not publicly disclosed, according to campaign finance records — a strategy that mirrors past efforts to mask exactly how his campaign is spending donor cash.

With former President Donald Trump convicted in his Manhattan hush money case, the 2024 political-legal spotlight will shift to Delaware, where jury selection begins Monday in the federal weapons trial of first son Hunter Biden.

Hunter, 54, faces three counts accusing him of illegally possessing a firearm while addicted to crack cocaine after lying on a federal gun-purchase form to obtain the weapon in the first place.

On a Friday evening in October 2018, Hunter Biden rolled up in a black Cadillac to StarQuest Shooters & Survival Supply in the Delaware city where he had been born and raised.

A salesman standing in the window didn’t initially recognize him as the son of the state’s longtime Democratic senator, now-President Joe Biden, and would later recall declining a tip from the younger Biden as he purchased a .38-caliber Colt Cobra revolver.

Nearly all of FTX’s former customers will get back almost 100% of the money they lost at the time of the cryptocurrency exchange’s collapse — if not more. FTX said in a statement Tuesday that it expects 98% of its creditors to receive approximately 118% of the amount of their allowed claims. Others will receive 100% of their claims plus billions in interest as compensation for the time value of their investments. The company forecasts that the total value of the assets, converted to cash and made available for distribution,...

New Hampshire could become the latest US state to ban child marriage after its House of Representatives passed a bill that would raise the minimum age for marriage to 18. Until 2016, child marriage – defined as a union involving at least one person under 18 years of age – was legal in all 50 states, sometimes only under specific circumstances, such as pregnancy. But since the US signed up to a United Nations plan to end the practice by 2030, 12 states have passed laws banning it, beginning with...

Initial samples of drugs found in overdose cases contained xylazine, bromazolam, fentanyl, quinine, and caffeine. Officials in Delaware are alerting the public to a rise in overdoses resistant to the well-known opioid reversal drug Naloxone (Narcan). “In a typical period of time we may typically see five in that period, so [it’s] a significant increase. These patients are unique in that they are much more critically ill than most patients. “Many of these are requiring long-term care in our intensive care unit. This is a very disturbing trend.” Dr. Paul...

Two suspects have been arrested following the fatal shooting in April of a prospective student at Delaware State University, who was shot in the head by what authorities say was a stray bullet, according to reports. On Monday, April 6, the Dover Police Department said during a press conference that they had arrested Destry Jones, 20, and Damien Hinson, 28, who are both charged with murder in connection with the April 21 fatal shooting of Camay Mitchell De Silva, 18, per CBS News . The pair are also being charged...

Two children were on their way home from school when an SUV came barreling into them Monday afternoon, leaving one boy dead and the other injured. The incident occurred shortly after 4 p.m. near the intersection of Faukland and Centerville roads in New Castle County, Delaware, when paramedics and police were called for a collision involving pedestrians. The two boys, a 10-year-old and a 12-year-old, were walking on the sidewalk when they were struck by the vehicle, according to 6ABC. The vehicle then ran into a home on the street...

The US government’s decision to charge President Joe Biden ’s son with firearm-related offenses was not tainted by outside influence from Donald Trump or his allies in Congress, a federal judge ruled.

Hunter Biden ’s motion to dismiss the charges over so-called vindictive prosecution was denied Friday by US District Judge Maryellen Noreika in Delaware. The Trump-appointed judge said Hunter Biden didn’t provide any evidence to support his claim that the decision by Special Counsel David Weiss to charge him was influenced by the former president or Republican lawmakers.
