Drew Dixon is one of several women who came forward with rape allegations against hip-hop mogul Russell Simmons in December 2017. For more than 20 years, she had kept silent. The secret, Dixon said, felt like a dark cloud looming over her. But in late 2017, she sensed a shift in the atmosphere.

Johnny Depp won all three counts of his bombshell defamation lawsuit against Amber Heard on Wednesday after a Virginia jury substantiated the claim that his ex-wife sullied his reputation and damaged his career when she wrote about becoming a ā€œpublic figure representing domestic abuseā€ following the couple’s split.

The panel of seven in Fairfax awarded the ā€œPirates of the Caribbeanā€ star a total of $10.35 million, including $10 million in compensatory damages and $350,000 in punitive damages, after deliberating for about 13 hours.

A seven-person jury on Wednesday determined that Amber Heard defamed Johnny Depp in the high-profile Depp vs. Heard case.

Driving the news: The trial between the two stars in Fairfax, Va. had attracted immense attention on social media, where many had sided with Depp.

Depp was awarded $15 million — $10 million in compensatory damages and $5 million in punitive damages.

A verdict has been reached in Johnny Depp and Amber Heard’s bombshell defamation trial.

The seven-person jury reached their decision in Fairfax, Virginia, on Wednesday, the third day of deliberations after about 13 hours of weighing the case.

The verdict is expected to be read at 3 p.m.
