Electric vehicle (EVs) sales have slumped in Britain, with the public struggling to fall in love with the technology. A shortage of public chargers fuels 'range anxiety' among motorists worried about where they can top up their batteries, while high prices have also put off would-be buyers. Despite these fears, a new study claims that EVs are even more reliable than traditional cars and vans with petrol and diesel engines. Researchers from the University of Birmingham and the London School of Economics (LSE), analysed the 'health' of nearly 300 million...

**I am not a financial analyst nor do I play one of TV** Tesla’s stock (TSLA) has had a couple of up-and-down moments over the last 5 days. The biggest movements were the pre-inauguration jump of 7% and the post-inauguration correction of 6%. The jump is easy to understand. The CEO of Tesla was going to have an office in the West Wing in the White House, that’s certainly adds value to the stock. The correction confused me. One would think that there would be a serious loss of value...

America is one of the world’s biggest energy exporters. In terms of energy production and distribution, it’s a super power. To hear President Trump tell it, the U.S. is weak. So weak he’s declared a ā€œNational Energy Emergencyā€ and is ā€œUnleashing American Energy,ā€ in a pair of executive orders that will have far reaching consequences for how the nation does business. The short version is that Trump is undoing everything Biden did and doubling down on a right-wing meme first uttered by Sarah Palin in 2008: ā€œDrill baby drill.ā€ The...

US President Donald Trump has ordered his administration to ā€œeliminate the electric-vehicle mandateā€ — his bid to undo regulations governing automotive pollution and fuel-economy standards which he says unfairly limit consumer choice.

The directive, included in a broad energy-focused executive order, also calls for regulators to consider ā€œthe elimination of unfair subsidies and other ill-conceived government-imposed market distortions that favor EVs over other technologies and effectively mandate their purchase.ā€

WASHINGTON ― President-elect Donald Trump will declare a "national energy emergency" on energy as part of a suite of executive actions he plans to take after he's sworn into office to carry out his long-promised "drill, baby, drill" agenda on American fossil fuels, incoming White House officials said. The orders include eliminating the so-called "electric vehicle mandate," Trump's phrase for a Environmental Protection Agency rule that requires auto manufacturers cut greenhouse gas emissions by half in new light- and medium-duty vehicles beginning in 2027.

The Cherokee Nation is receiving a $10.7 million grant from the U.S. Department of Transportation to install 112 publicly accessible electric vehicle charging ports across 12 community locations. The project will place chargers in prominent destinations such as parks and health centers. The initiative supports the Cherokee Nation’s clean energy goals and President Joe Biden’s Justice 40 initiative, ensuring that nearly every part of the Cherokee Reservation is within 25 miles of charging infrastructure.

A fire at the world’s largest battery storage plant in Northern California smoldered Friday after sending plumes of toxic smoke into the atmosphere, leading to the evacuation of up to 1,500 people.

The fire at the Vistra Energy VST lithium battery plant in Moss Landing generated huge flames and significant amounts of smoke Thursday but had diminished significantly by Friday, Fire Chief Joel Mendoza of the North County Fire Protection District of Monterey County said. Vistra is based in Texas.
