President Trump declared that going forward it will “be the official policy of the United States government that there are only two genders, male and female.”

Trump will sign executive orders on Monday ending diversity, equity and inclusion programs across the federal government and instituting a policy recognizing individuals’ biological sex rather than their expressed gender identity.

Girls are more likely than boys to respond to lessons about climate change - but they are also more likely to worry, according to new research.

The report, led by a team from University College London (UCL), investigated the experiences of students in English schools and their perceptions of climate change.

A few days ago, I sought out and watched a boxing match from 2021: Algerian boxer Imane Khelif’s Olympic debut in Tokyo, long before she became a household name, and a symbol of gender identity wars, and caused Fox News panelists to lose their minds on national television.

What happened in that Olympic women’s boxing match? Imane Khelif of Algeria pummeled Angela Carini of Italy for 46 seconds before Ms. Carini threw in the towel. The Algerian boxer is biologically male but allowed to compete in the female category, raising concerns about fairness and safety. Imane Khelif isn’t transgender, but the language of transgender ideology has led to widespread confusion.

Natalie, a 28-year-old in Arizona, collects screenshots of people’s dating app profiles in a folder on her phone, including one person’s list of qualities they don’t want in someone they’re dating: being vaccinated, being liberal, being bisexual, and not wanting kids.

“It seems like the apps are filled with very much mostly conservative men,” Natalie says. “Like not being super conservative is a dealbreaker right away.” Natalie considers herself independent, with more liberal views on reproductive rights and more moderate views on topics like immigration.

Women to the Left, men to the Right. And heaven forbid there is any crossover. These days, young people are floundering in their sex-based political silos wanting different things: girls are still seeking equality and boys miss being the good guys. This isn’t a battle of the sexes — we’re too far apart to fight.

Recently, I wrote a piece at The Federalist titled “Hell Hath No Fury Like A Single Liberal Woman,” based on my own experience as a former liberal, and offered some explanation as to why single women make up such a large proportion of the Democrat Party. And why, as Jesse Kelly commented, many of those women seem to be somewhat mentally unstable. Based on comments in my inbox and on social media, the piece was fairly well received. Well, mostly well received.

Almost 96% of all dental hygienists are women. Six out of seven lawyers are white. And the racial and ethnic makeup of paralegals, hairdressers and dietitians closely mirrors that of the overall U.S. workforce.   

The Bureau of Labor Statistics each year publishes data looking at the gender and racial composition of hundreds of occupations, offering a snapshot of how workers sort themselves into many of the most important jobs in the country.

A new survey found that young women are much more likely to politically identify as liberal while young men are more likely to identify as conservative or with MAGA Republicans. 

The survey, which was conducted by Change Research and shared with Teen Vogue, found that overall, young women, transgender people and nonbinary people trend more politically left than young men.

U.S. women have earned roughly 82% as much as men for the last 20 years, per recently published Pew Research Center analysis.

Why it matters: Although women continue to outpace men in educational attainment and more have taken on higher-paying jobs than in previous years, progress in narrowing the gender pay gap has stalled, especially compared to 20th-century strides.

By the numbers: While the roughly 82 cents to the dollar women made in 2022 signifies a huge leap from their 1982 average — 65 cents — it's only slightly more than the 80 cents they earned in 2002.
