Disgraced former Rep. George Santos appeared in federal court on Tuesday for a status conference ahead of a possible trial later this year.

Santos is facing 23 charges alleging he stole donors’ identities and ran up thousands of dollars in fraudulent charges on their credit cards, among other offenses. He has pleaded not guilty to all charges.

“You’re making great progress with regard to getting the case ready for trial,” said US District Judge Joanna Seybert, who mentioned that the schedule still allows them to strike a plea deal if both sides want.

Former Rep. George Santos, R-N.Y., claimed his car was broken into in New York City and then called on Mayor Eric Adams to resign for his poor handling of crime.

"Look at that, Mayor Adams, this is the city you’re running," said an infuriated Santos in a video he posted to social media on Wednesday.

"You need to resign in disgrace!" he wrote on the message accompanying the post.

"Having you car broken into is a freaking terrible feeling. I can't even describe it properly!" he added.

A group that promotes Democrat candidates for the House will spend over $5 million on advertisements in the district that was held by former Rep. George Santos, R-N.Y., before the upcoming special election.

House Majority PAC announced on Wednesday that it plans to spend $5.2 million on digital and television advertisements leading up to the special election on Feb. 13. The group will also spend $700,000 on a mailing program for the district.

New York Republicans have nominated Mazi Melesa Pilip as their candidate to run in the special election for the Long Island seat vacated by George Santos.

The GOP pick for the Feb. 13 race will hold a news conference Friday in Massapequa in Nassau County. The party’s choice comes after an intensive vetting process by local leaders determined to redeem themselves after supporting Santos, the ousted congressman indicted on criminal fraud charges.

New York Republicans tapped Mazi Melesa Pilip, an Ethiopian-born Israeli military veteran currently serving in the Nassau County Legislature, to run for George Santos’ former House seat in a special election after his expulsion earlier this month.

Pilip was born in Ethiopia, but fled to Israel at age 12 during Operation Solomon, one of three Israeli operations that airlifted most of Ethiopia’s large Jewish population out of the country during a military dictatorship, the Forward reported in 2021.

Long Island and Queens Republicans will nominate Nassau County legislator Mazi Pilip â€”  â€” a former Israeli paratrooper and native of Ethiopia — to run as its candidate to replace the expelled George Santos in the House of Representatives, GOP officials confirmed Thursday.

A formal announcement of Pilip’s candidacy will take place Friday in Massapequa.

The special election for the vacant seat of the Third Congressional District — which takes in much of Nassau County and parts of eastern Queens — will be held Feb. 13 .

George Santos is making so much dough on Cameo, he picked up the tab for his political pals on Saturday night.

The ousted pol was hanging with “ball of energy” Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-Colo.), and they were like “two peas in a pod” at the late-night party, we hear.

A source saw Santos — the New York Republican who was expelled from Congress this week after a scathing ethics report said he “blatantly stole” campaign funds and used them for OnlyFans and Botox — at the popular Beach CafĂ© on the Upper East Side.

Despite facing 23 federal charges for a litany of crimes, including the kind that involve stealing — wire fraud, credit card fraud, and aggravated identity theft — people, including at least one sitting US Senator, cannot give former Rep. George Santos money fast enough.
