Three U.S. Presidents have been impeached: Andrew Johnson, Bill Clinton and Donald Trump.

Rep. Cory Mills, R-Fla., filed articles of impeachment on Friday against President Biden over his decision to halt Israel aid passed by Congress.

Biden said this week he would withhold the aid if Israel invades Rafah.

Biden's threat has drawn comparisons to the Democrats' first impeachment of former President Trump over a conversation he had with Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelensky about foreign aid and investigating Biden's son Hunter's business dealings in the country.

Rep. Cory Mills, R-Fla., on Thursday submitted to House counsel impeachment articles against President Joe Biden alleging he is compromising the national security of the United States with his withholding of military aid to Israel.

Mills wrote up the impeachment against the president, referring to him as "Quid Pro Joe," and using as a template impeachment articles written by Rep. Jerry Nadler, D-N.Y., accusing then-President Donald Trump of abuse of power in 2019 for withholding aid to Ukraine.

A draft report from House Republicans advocating for holding Attorney General Merrick Garland in contempt of Congress accuses him of having hindered and impeded their impeachment inquiry into President Biden by withholding an audio recording of his conversation with special counsel Robert Hur.

The draft document, obtained by The Hill, will serve as the grounds for the report the House Judiciary Committee will consider next week as it mulls whether to forward the contempt resolution to the full House floor.

The Republican-led House delivered its articles of impeachment against Department of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas to the Senate, setting the stage for the swearing in of senators as jurors in a trial on Wednesday.

But the proceedings likely won’t get very far: Democrats are expected to offer a motion to dismiss the case on the ground that it’s baseless and doesn’t rise to the constitutional standard of high crimes and misdemeanors, a view that even some Republicans share.

The bulk of the Senate GOP conference has joined a letter to Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer that calls for the chamber to hold a trial regarding the articles of impeachment the House lodged against Homeland Security Sec. Alejandro Mayorkas back in February. According to reports, a spokesperson for House Speaker Mike Johnson has indicated that "the House will transmit the articles of impeachment to the Senate next week." Forty-three GOP senators signed onto the letter, which describes the nation's southern border as "a national security disaster." "We write to...

Republicans are upping the pressure on colleagues in the Senate ahead of next week’s impeachment trial of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas.

House managers in the case will deliver the two articles of impeachment to the upper chamber on Wednesday, nearly two months since the lower chamber impeached Mayorkas.

House Republicans on Thursday invited President Joe Biden to testify before Congress in what appears to be a last-ditch effort to deliver on their stalled monthslong impeachment inquiry into the Biden family businesses.

Rep. James Comer, chair of the House Oversight Committee, sent a letter to the Democratic president, inviting him to sit for a public hearing to “explain, under oath,” what involvement he had in the Biden family businesses. So far, the GOP-led inquiry has not produced hard evidence of wrongdoing while Biden was in public office.

House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer (R., Ky.) is officially inviting President Joe Biden to answer questions about his family’s foreign business dealings.

Comer wrote a letter to President Biden Thursday afternoon asking Biden to testify so he can explain the role he appears to have played in his family’s alleged influence-peddling schemes, the main focus of the House GOP’s impeachment inquiry into the president.
