INDIANAPOLIS — A shooting on the west side of Indianapolis left one person in critical condition Saturday night.

Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department Officers were dispatched to 429 Lansdowne Road on a report of a person shot at approximately 7 p.m. According to an IMPD media notification, when officers arrived at the scene, they located a person with injuries consistent with a gunshot wound.

IMPD reported that the individual is currently in critical condition. No additional information is available at this time.

Community Health Network has agreed to pay the United States government $345 million to settle allegations that it engaged in a years-long scheme to recruit physicians and pay them huge salaries and bonuses in return for “downstream referrals” on medical procedures. The U.S. Department of Justice said Tuesday the agreement settles allegations that senior management at Community Health recruited hundreds of local physicians as far back as 2008 and paid them salaries that were significantly higher, sometimes double, than they were receiving in their own private practices.

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — One person is dead following a single-vehicle crash on Indianapolis’ southwest side, the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department said Sunday. The name and age of the person hasn’t been released yet. Officers were called to the 7900 block of South Mooresville Road on a report of a single-vehicle crash around 7:15 a.m. Sunday.
