Robert F. Kennedy Jr. has made censorship — specifically, claims that the government, news media and tech platforms have tried to stifle his message — a cornerstone of his independent presidential campaign.

This weekend, Mr. Kennedy got more fodder for his argument when Facebook and Instagram blocked a link to a new, sleekly produced 30-minute ad supporting his candidacy. The link appeared to have been blocked from Friday late afternoon until Saturday around midday.

American Values 2024, a super PAC supporting Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s presidential bid, will file a lawsuit against Meta after a 30-minute campaign ad was taken down on Facebook and Instagram over the weekend—a move Meta said was a “mistake.”

AV2024 says the video was shared thousands of times and viewed over 12 million times on X, formerly known as Twitter, but its reach on Instagram and Facebook has been “minimal,” which they said could be a sign of “shadow banning.”

Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s presidential running mate Nicole Shanahan hit out at “cowardly” Meta boss Mark Zuckerberg for allegedly censoring a new documentary about the independent candidate.

“Mark Zuckerberg, are you kidding me?! No amount of MMA fighting will make you look strong if you continue to behave so cowardly,” Shanahan, the Bay Area lawyer and ex-wife of Google co-founder Sergey Brin, wrote on her X account on Sunday.

Transgender swimmer Lia Thomas has been the subject of several false claims that have drawn the attention of social media users critical of the athlete’s participation in women’s sports. Among them, circulating on a Facebook post: "The US Women’s team has made it clear they will resign immediately if the Olympic Committee allows Lia Thomas to try out." "‘We don’t need an outsider,’ the Coach stated," the April 30 post said. "‘We are champions solely composed of females. We don’t welcome male participation.’" This post was flagged as part of...

In a clip from the event, posted May 6 on Instagram, Emma was asked what changed for her and her family after publicly sharing the Die Hard star’s health battle. “I could breathe,” she admitted. “I could really exhale and sort of just feel this...

Ohio State's chosen commencement speaker for the class of 2024, entrepreneur Chris Pan, was high on ayahuasca while he wrote his speech, according to posts he made on social media. "Got some help from AI (Ayahuasca Intelligence) this week to write my commencement speech for 60k grads and family members at Ohio State University next Sunday," he wrote in a LinkedIn post before graduation. Ayahuasca is a psychedelic liquid made from heating or boiling multiple psychoactive plants from South America, according to the Alcohol and Drug Foundation of Australia. Pan...

With its sweeping desert vistas, millions of acres of public lands to hike through and parent-friendly laws around who can make medical decisions for teenagers, Utah became known as the place to send so-called “troubled teens” for wilderness therapy. For decades, the state fostered the growth of an industry that made its money on a promise that time spent in the outdoors — and far away from home — would help a child struggling with behavioral issues or substance abuse. But the wilderness therapy industry is now struggling in a...
