A federal judge in Washington, D.C. has ordered Steve Bannon, longtime ally of former President Trump, to report to prison on July 1.

Judge Carl Nichols' decision revokes Bannon's bail. Bannon lost an appeal of his contempt of Congress conviction in May. Bannon was sentenced to four months in prison for ignoring a Congressional subpoena to testify regarding the January 6 capitol riot.

Bannon has yet to comment on Nichols' ruling.

A federal appeals court on Friday upheld the criminal contempt of Congress conviction for Steve Bannon, a podcast host and former Trump White House aide who refused to testify and give documents to the now-defunct House committee investigating the Jan. 6 riot at the U.S. Capitol.

The 20-page decision by a three-judge panel of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit means it is more likely that Bannon may soon face a sentence of four months in jail for his conviction.

A federal appeals court on Friday denied a bid by one-time Trump adviser Steve Bannon to topple his contempt of Congress conviction, upholding his sentence for failing to comply with a subpoena from the now-disbanded Jan. 6 committee.

“It is undisputed that the first time Bannon raised these arguments was in district court, long after his deadline for responding to the subpoena had passed,” Judge Brad Garcia wrote for a three-judge panel of the District of Columbia Circuit Court of Appeals.

Peter Navarro has no regrets.

The ex-trade adviser to former President Donald Trump spent his last moments before reporting to federal prison railing against Democrats and the justice system, claiming they conspired to lock him up for refusing to comply with a congressional subpoena.

Former Trump administration trade adviser Peter Navarro reported to prison ahead of his 2 p.m. deadline on Tuesday to start his four-month sentence in Miami.

Navarro was convicted of defying a congressional subpoena in September after he failed to testify and turn over documents related to the Jan. 6 Capitol riot.  

Ex-Trump White House adviser Peter Navarro reported to a federal prison in Miami on Tuesday afternoon to begin a four-month sentence for refusing to comply with a congressional subpoena related to the Jan. 6, 2021, attack on the Capitol.

“They can put me in prison; they can put you in prison,” Navarro said during a parking lot press conference Tuesday just before he reported to the facility. “Make no mistake about that, and make no mistake about this: They are coming after Donald Trump with the same tactics, tools and strategies they used to put me over there today.”

Peter Navarro, the former White House aide to Donald Trump who was convicted last year on a pair of contempt of Congress charges for refusing to comply with a Jan. 6 committee subpoena, was sentenced to four months in a federal prison on Thursday.

Navarro, 74, will also have to pay a $9,500 fine, ruled U.S. District Judge Amit Mehta.

“They had a job to do and you made it harder,” said Mehta on Thursday, slamming Navarro’s refusal to testify in front of Congress. “It’s really that simple.”

Navarro was convicted in September on two counts of contempt of Congress — one for failing to produce documents related to the probe and another for skipping his deposition. 

Peter Navarro, who served in the White House under former President Donald Trump, was sentenced Thursday for flouting a House Jan. 6 committee subpoena. 

U.S. District Judge Amit Mehta sentenced Navarro to four months in prison and ordered him to pay a fine of $9,500. 

That's two months shorter than the six prosecutors had sought, but Mehta drastically reduced the whopping $200,000 fine sought by the Justice Department.
