White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt has already surpassed one of her Biden predecessors in total number of PolitiFact fact-checks after just two months in office.

On Thursday, PolitiFact issued Leavitt her latest fact-check over her statement, "Tariffs are a tax cut for the American people." PolitiFact rated it "False" with chief correspondent Louis Jacobson writing that "virtually all economists" have characterized tariffs as "tax hikes rather than tax cuts."

MSNBC is dramatically shaking up its lineup — and the shocking changes will result in the end of Joy Reid’s decade-long tenure at the network.

On Sunday, Variety and The New York Times reported that Reid’s 7 p.m. weeknight show, The ReidOut, is being canceled and will air its final episode this week. Mediaite has confirmed, through a source familiar with the changes at MSNBC, that Reid will be leaving the network completely as a result. She has been a host with MSNBC since 2014, and has piloted The ReidOut since 2020.

Former White House press secretary Jen Psaki called on the Republican National Committee to overhaul its planned programming for the upcoming convention to avoid “escalating” the country’s rhetoric following the failed assassination attempt against former President Trump.

In an appearance on “Meet the Press” Sunday, Psaki described feeling “scared” in the aftermath of the attempt on former President Trump’s life, echoing other panelists who called for the country to dial down the divisive political rhetoric.

MSNBC host Jen Psaki asked ex-Gov. Chris Christie (R-NJ) if ex-President Donald Trump has “already violated the gag order” imposed by Federal District Judge Tanya Chutkan — by attacking Judge Chutkan hours later. Christie was a guest on Monday’s edition of MSNBC’s Inside With Jen Psaki, during which Psaki asked his legal opinion on whether Trump’s attack on the judge in a speech Monday night violated the gag order she imposed hours earlier. While Christie thought the attack was “close to the line,” he said it would take more than...

Former White House press secretary Jen Psaki said President Joe Biden is a “heartbroken president” amid his son Hunter’s indictment and House Republicans’ impeachment inquiry. Hunter Biden was indicted on three counts Thursday for providing false statements and knowingly possessing a gun while addicted to drugs in October 2018, according to the partially redacted court filing from the Department of Justice (DOJ).

According to former White House press secretary Jen Psaki, Donald may be riding a wave of enthusiasm as his rabid followers embrace his look of defiance on his Georgia mugshot, but that same angry image will likely play a major part in hurting him . Early Saturday morning Guardian correspondent Hugo Lowell reported that the former president demanded his lawyers attempt to when he was booked in Atlanta on racketeering charges, but to no avail. He also noted a decision was then made to try and cash in on it....

CLAIM: Former Biden White House press secretary Jen Psaki claimed in an X post (formerly Twitter) during the Republican presidential primary debate on Wednesday that “no one supports abortion up until birth.”

VERDICT: FALSE. Several Democrat-run states have no limits on abortion, and Democrats have supported legislation that would allow abortion through all nine months of pregnancy.

MSNBC host and former White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki ripped Fox News and Republicans over their “fixation” with conspiracy theorist Robert Kennedy Jr. and his “longshot presidential candidacy.” Kennedy was the star witness at a House hearing this week on the heels of the New York Post bombshell video of Kennedy floating stunning insinuations about the COVID virus “targeting” Black people and Caucasians and sparing Jews and Chinese people. On Sunday’s edition of MSNBC’s Inside With Jen Psaki, the host noted the airtime he’s been getting on Fox and...

Welcome back to Forgotten Fact Checks, a weekly column produced by National Review’s News Desk. This week, we look at Jen Psaki’s first few months as an MSNBC host, call out a cruel and embarrassing headline from Slate, and cover more media misses.

Checking in with Jen Psaki

It’s been nearly four months since the launch of Jen Psaki’s new MSNBC Sunday morning show, Inside with Jen Psaki.
