Furious protestors screaming “close the border” heckled Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Rep. Jerry Nadler and other Democrats Friday as they were holding a press conference on the Big Apple’s escalating migrant crisis.

The New York pols were drowned out by the angry screams outside the Roosevelt Hotel mega shelter in Midtown Friday morning.

“Send them back,” one man shouted.

FBI Director Christopher Wray insisted Wednesday that the bureau is "absolutely not" protecting the Biden family, amid allegations that the Hunter Biden probe was influenced by politics.

But Wray also refused to answer questions from House Judiciary Committee lawmakers on whether President Biden is under federal investigation for an alleged criminal bribery scheme.

Wray told the committee about the good work of the FBI, denied any alleged politicization within the bureau, and blasted claims that he is biased against conservatives as "somewhat insane."

FBI Director Christopher Wray on Wednesday navigated hours of questions about the credibility of the bureau, as House Judiciary Committee Republicans increasingly seek to pin the agency as politically biased.

Wray, a Trump appointee, was at times aided by Democrats who sought to defend the bureau’s actions by highlighting wrongdoing by Trump or his associates.

FBI Director Chris Wray on Wednesday said GOP accusations that he used his power to oppress conservatives are â€śinsane.”

After Republicans complained for several hours during a House Judiciary Committee hearing that the FBI had been “weaponized” against GOPers, Wray offered a reality check.

“The idea that I am biased against conservatives seems somewhat insane to me, given my own personal background,” he said in response to a question from Rep. Harriet Hageman (R-Wyo.).

Republican Representative Matt Gaetz of Florida on Wednesday introduced an amendment in the House Judiciary Committee that would include a recitation of the Pledge of Allegiance before every meeting.

The move caused not only objections but also a heated moment between Republican and Democratic members of the committee.

On the menu today: What would it take to get you to publicly denounce and demonize a friend and colleague of 30 years? Up in New York City, a pair of geriatric Democratic leaders in Congress, Carolyn Maloney and Jerrold Nadler, are demonstrating that all it takes is the prospect of not returning to the House for another term. It’s hilarious and depressing, watching two colleagues who once called each other friends now paint each other as cowardly, lazy, gullible, and entitled.

What a Nasty Democratic Primary among Friends Teaches Us

A vote to codify same-sex marriage into federal law split House Republicans on Tuesday, with roughly a third of the GOP conference voting with Democrats in favor and the rest opposing.

In a 267-157 vote, the House passed legislation repealing the Defense of Marriage Act and enshrining protections for gay marriage into federal law. Overall, 47 House Republicans voted with nearly every single Democrat to back the measure, dubbed the Respect for Marriage Act.
