Press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre broke down in tears at Wednesday's White House press briefing even as she secretly blocked a rival from speaking at the last media availability of President Joe Biden's administration.

She spent several minutes at the briefing thanking her colleagues, her family and the president, noting this was the administration’s 537th press briefing and her 306th briefing.

She said she hoped her visible, public role was an 'inspiration to many young girls out there.'

White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre is scheduled to appear for an interview on "The View" on Tuesday, but has not held a press conference since July 15.

"The View" revealed on Monday that Jean-Pierre would be joining the hosts for her first interview since President Biden announced he would be withdrawing from the presidential race. It's unlikely to be a hostile environment, as all the hosts are openly hostile to former President Trump and frequently praise the Biden administration.

President Biden was seen by neurologist Dr. Kevin Cannard, who specializes in Parkinson’s disease, at the White House on Jan. 17, press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre admitted late Tuesday — hours after telling reporters the opposite at her regular briefing.

The clarification came just a day after Jean-Pierre scolded a journalist who grilled her over providing misleading information about whether Biden, 81, had been medically evaluated after his catastrophic June 27 debate performance, which triggered Democratic calls for him to step aside.

In a letter released late Monday night by the president's physician, Dr. Kevin O'Connor, he confirmed that Dr. Kevin Cannard, the Parkinson's expert who visited the White House eight times in an eight-month span, "was the neurological specialist that examined President Biden for each of his annual physicals."

Cannard’s visits to the White House don’t represent examinations of the president, according to O’Connor’s letter. Cannard is involved in a range of care for others beyond the president at the White House, O’Connor said in his note.

CLAIM: White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre claimed Tuesday that grocery prices went down under President Joe Biden’s leadership.

VERDICT: False.

ā€œFood prices jumped 6.3% in 2021, and 10.4% in 2022. In 2023, food-price increases slowed, with the index up 2.7%,ā€ TheStreet reported.

To put that in perspective, Yahoo News reported that ā€œa basket of groceries that cost $100 in November 2020 would now set you back $125.80.ā€

White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre faced a wave of criticism Monday after claiming a series of viral videos of President Biden appearing frail in the past week were "deepfakes."

Numerous controversial videos have emerged of Biden during his visits to commemorate D-Day in France, attend the G-7 summit in Italy, and attend a recent fundraiser for his campaign that have raised questions about his age.

The White House in the past week has railed against so-called ā€œcheap fakes,ā€ videos edited to look as if President Joe Biden has ā€œfrozenā€ or was wandering away at major public events, while media outlets amplifying the moments have done little to add context.

The videos include one at a D-Day ceremony earlier this month, another at a Juneteenth ceremony last week and still another the G7 summit Thursday. The latest to go viral is a video at the end of Biden’s star-filled Los Angeles re-election fundraiser over the weekend.

White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre blasts Republicans for circulating videos where President Biden appears confused or feeble during Monday's press briefing.

REPORTER: There seems to be a sort of a rash of videos that have been exited to make the president appear officially frail or mentally confused. I'm wondering if the White House is especially worried about the fact that this appears to be a pattern.

White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre fumed at the viral clips circulating social media that are often selectively edited to make President Joe Biden look senile, dubbing them ā€œcheap fakes.ā€

ā€œThere seems to be a sort of a rash of videos that have been edited to make the president appear especially frail or mentally confused. I’m wondering if the White House is especially worried about the fact that this appears to be a pattern that we’re seeing more,ā€ asked a White House reporter during Monday’s briefing.

The White House went on the offensive against The Post Monday for calling out President Biden’s frailty in a series of recent videos ā€” only to make false statements of their own in the process.

Press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre accused The Post of spreading ā€œmisinformationā€ about videos of the 81-year-old president at recent events with G7 world leaders and former President Barack Obama.
