Former President Jimmy Carter passed away on December 29, 2024, at 100. The 39th president of the United States arrived in Washington D.C. yesterday, where his casket will lie in state in the Capitol until Thursday. Much has been said about Jimmy Carter being a great former president but a shabby real one. He was elected after the nation wanted something new after the Watergate Scandal. Voters weren’t keen on sending Republican Gerald Ford back to Washington following Richard Nixon’s resignation in 1973.

President-elect Donald Trump is forcing the Democratic politicians who spent years lying about President Biden’s senility to take their bitter medicine, but we’re more concerned about the toady media who played along.

Trump on Monday posted a video showing clip after cringe-worthy clip of Democratic leaders from Rep. Nancy Pelosi to Homeland Security chief Alejandro Mayorkas denying again and again that Biden was mentally and physically deteriorating, claiming he was ā€œsharp,ā€ ā€œon his game,ā€ ā€œfocusedā€ and that ā€œhis age is an asset.ā€

The Guardian’s obituary of Hamas chief Ismail Haniyeh, who was recently assassinated in Tehran, labelled him a ā€œpoliticianā€ rather than a terrorist, despite him leading a proscribed terrorist organisation.

In the tribute, Haniyeh was described as ā€œburly and genial in demeanourā€ and a ā€œkeen footballer and devout Muslimā€. Having lived in Doha, Qatar since 2017, he was the leader of the 15-member political bureau that runs Hamas.

On July 13, Donald Trump survived an assassination attempt in Butler, Pennsylvania. It led to an iconic image of the former president, who had just escaped death from a would-be assassin, perched less than 200 yards from the stage, raising his fist in defiance, face bloody, telling his supporters to ā€œfight.ā€ It’s become a viral sensation. It’s also made some media photographers and editors queasy because—get this—it could hurt Biden and give ā€œfree PRā€ to Trump.

The Associated Press was mocked on the social media platform, X after it posted an article with the headline, "Biden at 81: Sharp and focused but sometimes confused and forgetful."

The article was posted Wednesday evening with responses mocking the article with the "Libs of TikTok" account replying with "Nobody is falling for this BS anymore."

Recently, President Joe Biden and presumptive GOP presidential nominee Donald Trump squared off in the first presidential televised debate where Biden's performance was widely panned as confused and mumbling.

President Joe Biden’s White House repeatedly and aggressively shot down reports on the president’s age and any possible limitations on his ability to perform all the duties of his office. But after his shaky debate performance last week, in which Biden routinely struggled to get his point across, some in the White House press corps say they wish they had pushed harder to tell the story.
