Does Time magazine really matter anymore? It still has a circulation of over one million, but that is one-third of what it was in 2012. Does anything it reports still resonate, or is it like a tree that collapses unheard in the solitude of the woods?

SHANNON BREAM (ANCHOR): Obviously, an appeal takes time. It could be months. It could be years. Like Andy said, it may be a long time before that is resolved, however it is resolved. But what that leaves is this White House, the Biden-Harris campaign, free now to call President Trump a convicted felon. I gotta say, though, over a year ago when President Trump asked, will you drop out of this race if convicted — or not convicted if indicted, he said, no, because I actually think it will help me in my poll numbers. They've done well in fundraising. He's done well in polling.

Thursday’s CBS News Special Report on the guilty verdict for former President Trump reveled in the sham trial brought by far-left Manhattan D.A. Alvin Bragg as â€œan extraordinary moment” of “enormous gravity” in which â€œeverything about politics and law and our orientation to both are convulsed as never before”, but bemoaned the incoming â€œgrievance war” from the Trump team and took exception to longtime correspondent Jan Crawford’s reality check.

More than two weeks have passed since Donald Trump told an interviewer that he would reveal whether he supports banning the use and distribution of drugs used in medication abortions “over the next week or two.” But the major cable and broadcast newscasts and most influential newspapers seem to have moved on, according to a Media Matters review of their coverage.

On May 8, President Biden took the very unusual step of submitting to an interviewer who was an actual journalist (not a Howard Stern or Drew Barrymore). It wouldn’t be long before he started mangling his record – and Donald Trump’s.

President Joe Biden traveled to Wisconsin on Wednesday to announce a new multibillion-dollar project by Microsoft, which stands in contrast to a notorious failure of local economic development in the state during the Trump administration. In response, Fox News’ purported “straight news” coverage accused Biden of “trying to troll” the public and otherwise dismissed the new project.

NBC Late Night host Seth Meyers used his Thursday show to condemn Columbia for using the police to clear the illegal encampments and building occupations instead of surrendering to the campers like Brown University. At the same time, Meyers ignored what the leaders of the movement say about Zionism and continued to pretend that they are simply critical of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
