Michael Cohen’s first day on the witness stand in Donald Trump’s Manhattan trial gave us scores of incriminating details — many with spice about things not so nice.

"Just do it," Cohen said Trump told him, instructing him to figure out the best way of paying adult film actress Stormy Daniels $130,000 to stay quiet about an alleged 2006 liaison, which he denies.

Michael Cohen apparently wants a reality show but, if his testimony Monday is any indication, reality is about to sink in for not just Cohen but the prosecutors and the court.

In stoking interest in his own appearance, the former Donald Trump counsel promised the public that they should be “prepared to be surprised.”

“This is a man who is clearly on a mission for personal revenge,” Mr. Johnson said, attacking the witness on the stand, Michael D. Cohen, the former fixer to Donald J. Trump. “He is someone who has a history of perjury. No one should believe a word he says in there.”

Johnson — who appeared alongside Trump in the courthouse hallway before delivering a statement outside — slammed the case against the former president as “election interference,” arguing prosecutors are trying to keep him off the campaign trail amid his race against President Biden.
