If you’ve been having more back problems since working from home, you’re not alone.

A new poll conducted by the British self-care campaign Mind Your Back has discovered a new phenomenon among young adults: WFH back.

The survey of 1,000 adults across the United Kingdom aimed to see how the COVID-19 pandemic changed daily habits and found a rising number — two-thirds — of Brits aged 18 to 29 experienced back pain they didn’t have prior to the pandemic.

Ross Wakeman-Hines, a millennial electrical engineer from Viera, Florida, bought a house last year right before the onset of the pandemic.

The trouble was, he hadn’t sold his present home. And when the lockdowns hit, the old house sat on the market – and sat and sat for a full year before he finally unloaded it.

Cooper Holmes' life is a whirlwind of family responsibilities.

At 36, he takes care of his three-year-old daughter while his wife works as a full-time teacher, and helps support his 76-year-old mother, who has health issues.

Holmes, who lives in Delta, Colorado, spends four hours a day running his mother's 50-sheep farm with his daughter in tow. And since the pandemic began, he has handled her grocery shopping and other errands. He also contributes about $200 to help her pay the monthly bills.
