It’s been less than two weeks since Google debuted ā€œAI Overviewā€ in Google Search, and public criticism has mounted after queries have returned nonsensical or inaccurate results within the AI feature — without any way to opt out.

AI Overview shows a quick summary of answers to search questions at the very top of Google Search. For example, if a user searches for the best way to clean leather boots, the results page may display an ā€œAI Overviewā€ at the top with a multistep cleaning process, gleaned from information it synthesized from around the web.

OpenAI is launching a tool that can detect images created by its text-to-image generator DALL-E 3, the Microsoft-backed (MSFT.O), opens new tab startup said on Tuesday amid rising worries about the influence of AI-generated content in this year's global elections.

The company said the tool correctly identified images created by DALL-E 3 about 98% of the time in internal testing and can handle common modifications such as compression, cropping and saturation changes with minimal impact.

Biden administration ā€œdisinformation czarā€ Nina Jankowicz is back — and still out to ā€œprotectā€ the public from facts the left doesn’t like, this time from outside the government.

Jankowicz, you may recall, got tapped to run the ā€œDisinformation Governance Boardā€ in 2022, until that Orwellian agency within the Department of Homeland Security rightly shut down in the face of pushback against a de facto government censorship operation.

Pennsylvania Republican Senate candidate Dave McCormick posted several times online Thursday targeting a New York Times reporter ahead of the publication of an article detailing his upbringing.

His posts on the social platform X were directed at the Times’s national political reporter, Katie Glueck, who is ā€œwriting a story filled w/ frivolous lies about my childhood,ā€ McCormick said.

ā€œIf it weren’t so demeaning to my parents’ lifelong teaching careers & the college town I’m so proud to have been raised in, it might be funny,ā€ he continued

Torrential rains across the United Arab Emirates prompted flight cancellations, forced schools to shut and brought traffic to a standstill.

The heavy rains that caused widespread flooding across the desert nation came after cloud seeding. The UAE has been carrying out seeding operations since 2002 to address water security issues, even though the lack of drainage in many areas can trigger flooding.

Dubai is underwater. Heavy storms have caused flash flooding across the United Arab Emirates, leading to shocking scenes circulating on social media: Cars abandoned by the roadside, planes sloshing through flooded runways. Hundreds of flights have been canceled at Dubai’s busy international airport, and at least 18 people have died in neighboring Oman.

The United Arab Emirates is today attempting to dry out after the heaviest rain ever recorded in the desert nation caused utter chaos - but there are suspicions the horrific flooding in Dubai and elsewhere may have been self-inflicted.

The typically scorching UAE heavily relies on cloud-seeding - a technique which sees aircraft fire salt flares into clouds to speed up condensation and induce rainfall - to provide its groundwater.

The Daily Caller has retracted and removed an article falsely accusing the Biden administration of banning religious designs on Easter eggs submitted to a White House art contest.

The retraction comes days after the right-wing media ecosystem ran wild with the story (alongside misleading claims about Transgender Day of Visibility), claiming that it was further proof of President Joe Biden’s supposed war on Christianity.
