MSNBC seems to have found their latest outlet for their Trump-bashing fixation in the far-fetched conspiracy theory that the president’s recent tariff impositions were all a setup for insider trading beneficial to him and his close associates. On Thursday’s episode of The 11th Hour, host Stephanie Ruhle fleshed out this idea on the spot, based on the flimsiest of evidence, and refused to drop it even when her own panel tried to bring her down to earth a little.

“Well,” Ruhle began on the subject: 

The Nation’s justice correspondent Elie Mystal argued on “Morning Joe” Monday that all U.S. voter registration laws should be eliminated.

Mystal argued that any American should only have to meet eligibility requirements, such as age, in order to cast a ballot during elections, suggesting that voter registration has a racist and anti-immigrant undertone. He stated that voting rights need to be expanded in order to help more Democrats vote.

MSNBC’s Joy Reid said Black people who vote for former President Trump over Vice President Harris, the likely Democratic nominee, are “going to look real crazy.”

“Given just the stratospheric entrance of Vice President Kamala Harris into the presidential campaign, and she has now secured enough delegates to become the nominee, you’re going to look real crazy being on the other side of that line, particularly as a person of color, but really as anyone who claims to have any connection to the culture,” Reid said in a video posted to TikTok.

Forever earnest Brian Stelter tweeted out his late-night appearance on CNN with Abby Phillip.

“MSNBC's Maddow is right to be thinking aloud about the possible repercussions of a second Trump term,” he typed. “Other media types and political veterans are doing the same thing. What might "retribution" look like? What are the pressure points that Trump could target?”

You'd have to be some sort of hick from the sticks to take a Hunter Biden criminal conviction into account in deciding on your 2024 presidential vote.

MSNBC announced on Thursday that it is canceling the show of outspoken journalist Mehdi Hasan as part of a weekend program overhaul, sparking backlash among supporters of the tough interviewer known lately for challenging the mainstream media’s coverage of Gaza.

Network President Rashida Jones announced to staff in a memo Thursday morning that Hasan, whose program “The Mehdi Hasan Show” typically aired Sundays at 8 p.m. and Tuesdays on streaming service Peacock, will now become an on-camera analyst and fill-in host. The move was first reported by Semafor.

Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski could not contain their disgust over Hunter Biden’s recent indictment, calling Republicans “stupid” and “fascist.”

MSNBC host of the The 11th Hour, Stephanie Ruhle, did a touchdown dance on her Thursday show in response to GOP Rep. Nick Langworthy’s admission that they have no evidence of direct payments to President Joe Biden from son Hunter’s business operations. At the same time, the Lincoln Project’s Stuart Stevens declared the party’s focus reeked of “basic hollowness and absurdity,” but nobody ever explained how Langworthy’s statement unwittingly debunked the larger point about influence peddling.

Forget about the recession and rampant, crippling inflation that has soared to 40-year-highs, MSNBC's All In host Chris Hayes was here to assure you that the Biden economic recovery has been "one of the most successful, remarkable recoveries in all of American economic history." Sadly for Hayes, the large eyeglasses on his face won't make him seem smart with economically illiterate comments like that. The pollyannaish host made these comments on the heels of Thursday's GDP report which showed the economy grew by an anemic 2.9 percent.
