The United States dismissed Russia's allegation on Thursday that Washington was behind what it said was a drone attack on the Kremlin, saying Moscow's assertion was a lie.

The White House pinned the chaotic 2021 withdrawal from Afghanistan on the lack of planning from the previous administration and admitted it should have started evacuations sooner but stood by the decision to pull out of the country in a summary of an interagency report released Thursday.

The summary said that the administration was “severely constrained” by actions of former President Donald Trump’s administration, including the 2020 agreement Trump made with the Taliban to withdraw American troops by the spring of 2021.

The U.S. acknowledged its evacuations from Afghanistan in 2021 should have begun sooner — but largely blamed the Trump administration, according to a newly released National Security Council document outlining key moments.

The Biden administration has “significant concerns” in some cases about China’s behavior when it comes to abiding by the international rules of the road, NSC spokesman John Kirby said Tuesday.

National Security Council spokesman John Kirby on Monday dismissed concerns that a string of unidentified airborne objects shot down by the U.S. in recent days are related to aliens or extraterrestrial activity. 

President Joe Biden feels that the US’ relationship with Saudi Arabia needs to be re-evaluated in the wake of the OPEC+ decision last week to decrease oil production, a National Security Council spokesman said.

In an interview with CNN’s Brianna Keilar on “New Day,” National Security Council coordinator for strategic communications John Kirby said Biden is “willing to work with Congress as we think about what the right relationship with Saudi Arabia needs to be going forward.”

President Biden is reconsidering the US relationship with Saudi Arabia after the Riyadh-led OPEC+ cartel announced last week it will slash oil production by a total of 2 million barrels per day beginning next month.

The US and the Middle Eastern nation have long been strategic partners, with Saudi Arabia America’s third-leading source of imported oil, according to the State Department. But that relationship could change after last week’s OPEC move, National Security Council spokesman John Kirby said Tuesday.
