Two Louisiana singers have battled their teammates and knocked out competitors, singing country, pop and alternative hits and securing their spot in the Top 12 on "The Voice."

Now, Zoe Levert of New Orleans and Mandeville native Karen Waldrup need your votes to stay on the show.

Levert and Waldrup each performed live on the NBC singing competition Monday night.

Levert, who is on John Legend's team, sang "Stick Season" by Noah Kahan (and covered by Olivia Rodrigo).

The news of O.J. Simpson’s death was met with a mixed bag of responses befitting his complicated (to say the least) history. But hearing the news, my immediate thought wasn’t anything to do with O.J.’s life, controversies or career. It was ā€œMan, I miss Norm Macdonald.ā€ In my mind, Norm is the greatest stand-up comedian of all time. Norm initially became famous in the ’90s for his turn as the host of Saturday Night Live (SNL)’s Weekend Update segment, during which he relentlessly fired off O.J. Simpson jokes. Most still...

When the Jewish Community Centers of Chicago brought in the Violins of Hope, an exhibit of restored violins owned and played by Jewish musicians before and during the Holocaust, no one seemed to fully appreciate its significance, the center’s president and CEO said. Or at least not until it came to the Gail Borden Public Library in Elgin last year. ā€œI think the flood gates really opened when Elgin came onboard,ā€ Addie Goodman said. ā€œI think people saw how the city of Elgin, the library, the municipality and the orchestra...

O.J. Simpson wasn’t the first major American celebrity to be put on trial and he certainly hasn’t been the last, but for those of us who were around in the 1990s and remember the news of the murders of Nicole Brown Simpson and Ronald Goldman, the arrest of Simpson, the subsequent criminal and civil trials against him, and all the madness that surrounded these events, it's almost impossible to overstate the impact it all had on the popular culture. I wrote dozens and dozens of columns about the Simpson circus...

Former ā€œMeet the Pressā€ moderator Chuck Todd delivered a stunning rebuke of NBC News on Sunday, blasting the network for hiring former Republican National Committee chair Ronna McDaniel as a paid political analyst.

Todd, who serves as the network’s chief political analyst, delivered his scathing criticism after McDaniel made her debut on the network during an interview with current ā€œMeet the Pressā€ moderator Kristen Welker.

After months of left-wing frustration with Sen. John Fetterman’s, D-Penn., over his pro-Israel stance, the lawmaker officially declared he does not align with the progressive wing of the Democratic Party.

In an interview with NBC News, the freshman U.S. senator said, "I’m not a progressive," and explained how he differs with leftists in the party on the subjects of Israel and illegal immigration.

It was March and former president Donald Trump was aboard his plane with a gaggle of reporters following a campaign rally in Waco, Texas. He started off in good spirits. But then a line of questioning from NBC News reporter Vaughn Hillyard, who suggested that Trump had in recent days seemed ā€œfrustratedā€ by Manhattan DA Alvin Bragg’s investigation, began irritating the former president. ā€œDon’t ask me any more questions,ā€ Trump said.

The chief executive of NBCUniversal, Jeff Shell, has left the US media and entertainment giant over an "inappropriate relationship" he had with a woman at the company.

The announcement comes after the firm conducted an investigation over a complaint about Mr Shell's conduct.

"I'm truly sorry I let my Comcast and NBCUniversal colleagues down," he said in a statement.

Parent company Comcast has not yet said who will be the new NBCUniversal boss.
