The news media insist that democracy has withered dangerously under President Trump, but on certain issues, these same journalists insist there can be no debate. Exhibit A: Climate change.

On Saturday, PBS and NPR aired segments on climate that only talked to Obama appointees about what a President Biden might do. The PBS NewsHour segment carried the headline “Biden has big climate change plans. But can he get it done?”

The massive government intervention, all the regulation and federal spending, is described by the liberal propaganda networks as “ambitious.”

WASHINGTON (AP) — The State Department has denied a National Public Radio reporter a seat aboard Secretary of State Mike Pompeo’s plane for an upcoming trip to Europe and Central Asia, the decision coming a few days after Pompeo lashed out at another NPR reporter.

NPR said in a statement Monday that correspondent Michele Kelemen wasn’t given a reason for being barred from the flight. The State Department declined to comment.

One day after a contentious interview that was followed by an expletive-filled verbal lashing of NPR host Mary Louise Kelly, Secretary of State Mike Pompeo is publicly accusing her of lying to him — "twice."

In a statement released by the State Department on Saturday, Pompeo says Kelly first lied "in setting up our interview."

WASHINGTON – Secretary of State Mike Pompeo used the "F-word" and other expletives after a testy interview with a National Public Radio host on Friday, the news outlet said.

Pompeo unloaded on NPR's Mary Louise Kelly after an interview in which she questioned him on Ukraine and Iran, among other issues. He grew extremely irritated by Kelly's Ukraine questions, according to NPR.

"'Do you think Americans care about Ukraine?'" Pompeo apparently shouted at Kelly after the interview. The State Department's press office did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

In trying to be above taking sides, the mainstream media does Trump a favor by making order out of his chaos.

By almost any standard, President Donald Trump’s rally on Tuesday evening in Milwaukee was a bizarre affair. The president went on a lengthy tirade about lightbulbs, toilets, and showers; touted war crimes; joked about a former president being in hell; and said he’d like to see one of his domestic political foes locked up.

Sure, everybody thinks it's great when a story is read by many hundreds of thousands of folks. That's definitely a success.

But what about stories that don't get a lot of pageviews? Maybe the headline just didn't catch a reader's eye. Or maybe there was so much news that day that the story slipped through the cracks of the internet and tumbled into digital oblivion.

Cokie Roberts, the longtime journalist and commentator for ABC News and NPR, died on Tuesday in Washington. She was 75.

ABC News announced her death. The cause was complications of breast cancer.

Ms. Roberts, a winner of three Emmy Awards, co-anchored ABC’s “This Week” with Sam Donaldson from 1996 to 2002. She was also a political commentator, chief congressional analyst and a commentator for “This Week” over three decades at ABC.
